| 63:1 سورة المنافقون بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم ٛــــ اذا جاءك المنافقون قالوا نشهد انك لرسول الله والله يعلم انك لرسوله والله يشهد ان المنافقين لكاذبون |

| Transliteration | Itha jaaka almunafiqoona qaloo nashhadu innaka larasoolu Allahi waAllahu yaAAlamu innaka larasooluhu waAllahu yashhadu inna almunafiqeena lakathiboona |
| Literal | If/when the hypocrites came to you, they said: "We testify/witness, that you are God's messenger (E)." And God knows that you are His messenger (E), and God witnesses/testifies that truly the hypocrites (are) liars/deniers/ falsifiers (E). |

| Yusuf Ali | When the Hypocrites come to thee, they say, "We bear witness that thou art indeed the Messenger of Allah." Yea, Allah knoweth that thou art indeed His Messenger, and Allah beareth witness that the Hypocrites are indeed liars. |

| Malik | When the hypocrites come to you, they say: "We bear witness that you are indeed the Messenger of Allah." Allah knows that you are indeed His Messenger, and Allah bears witness that the hypocrites are liars.[1] |
| QXP | When the hypocrites come to you (O Prophet), they say, "We bear witness that you are indeed Allah's Messenger." Yes, Allah knows that you are truly His Messenger, and Allah bears witness that the hypocrites are in fact deniers in practice. |

al-Munafiqun 063:002
| 63:2 اتخذوا ايمانهم جنة فصدوا عن سبيل الله انهم ساء ماكانوا يعملون |

| Transliteration | Ittakhathoo aymanahum junnatan fasaddoo AAan sabeeli Allahi innahum saa ma kanoo yaAAmaloona |
| Literal | They took their rights/oaths (as) a cover (shield) so they prevented/obstructed from God's way/path , that they truly are bad/evil/harmful what they were making/doing . |

| Yusuf Ali | They have made their oaths a screen (for their misdeeds): thus they obstruct (men) from the Path of Allah: truly evil are their deeds. |
| Pickthal | They make their faith a pretext so that they may turn (men) from the way of Allah. Verily evil is that which they are wont to do, |
| Arberry | They have taken their oaths as a covering, then they have barred from the way of God. Surely they -- evil are the things they have been doing. |
| Shakir | They make their oaths a shelter, and thus turn away from Allah's way; surely evil is that which they do. |
| Sarwar | (Muhammad), tell them, "The death from which you run away will certainly approach you. Then you will be returned to the One who knows the unseen and the seen, and He will tell you what you have done". |
| Khalifa | Under the guise of their apparent faith, they repel the people from the path of GOD. Miserable indeed is what they do. |
| Hilali/Khan | They have made their oaths a screen (for their hypocrisy). Thus they hinder (men) from the Path of Allah. Verily, evil is what they used to do. |
| H/K/Saheeh | They have taken their oaths as a cover, so they averted [people] from the way of Allah. Indeed, it was evil that they were doing. |
| Malik | They use their faith as a disguise, and thus debar others from the Way of Allah. Evil is indeed what they do.[2] |
| QXP | They make their oaths and proclamation of Faith a cover so that they may bar others from the Path of Allah. Miserable indeed is what they do. |
| Maulana Ali | They take shelter under their oaths, thus turning (men) from Allah’s way. Surely evil is that which they do. |
| Free Minds | They have chosen their oath as a deceit, thus they repel from the path of God. Miserable indeed is what they do. |
| Qaribullah | They have taken their oaths as a cover and barred others from the Path of Allah. Evil is what they have done. |

| George Sale | They have taken their oaths for a protection, and they turn others aside from the way of God: It is surely evil which they do. |
| JM Rodwell | Their faith have they used as a cloak, and they turn aside others from the way of God! Evil are all their doings. |

| 63:3 ذلك بانهم امنوا ثم كفروا فطبع على قلوبهم فهم لايفقهون |

| Transliteration | Thalika bi-annahum amanoo thumma kafaroo fatubiAAa AAala quloobihim fahum la yafqahoona |
| Literal | That (is) because they (E) believed, then they disbelieved, so (it) was stamped/sealed on their hearts/minds , so they do not understand/learn . |

| Yusuf Ali | That is because they believed, then they rejected Faith: So a seal was set on their hearts: therefore they understand not. |
| Pickthal | That is because they believed, then disbelieved, therefore their hearts are sealed so that they understand not. |
| Arberry | That is because they have believed, then they have disbelieved; therefore a seal has been set on their hearts, and they do not understand. |
| Shakir | That is because they believe, then disbelieve, so a seal is set upon their hearts so that they do not understand. |
| Sarwar | Believers, on Friday when the call for prayer is made, try to attend prayer (remembering God) and leave off all business. This would be better for you if only you knew it. |
| Khalifa | This is because they believed, then disbelieved. Hence, their minds are blocked; they do not understand. |
| Hilali/Khan | That is because they believed, then disbelieved, therefore their hearts are sealed, so they understand not. |
| H/K/Saheeh | That is because they believed, and then they disbelieved; so their hearts were sealed over, and they do not understand. |
| Malik | This is because they believed and then renounced their faith. Their hearts are sealed, therefore, they are devoid of understanding.[3] |
| QXP | This, because they profess (before you) that they have believed whereas afterward (among their folk) they reject the Truth. And so a seal has been set upon their hearts, thus they understand not. (Variation between utterance and action hampers the power of reasoning within human psyche (61:2-5)). |
| Maulana Ali | That is because they believed, then disbelieved; thus their hearts are sealed, so they understand not. |
| Free Minds | That is because they believed, then disbelieved. Hence, their hearts are sealed; they do not understand. |
| Qaribullah | That is because they believed, then disbelieved, because of this a seal has been set upon their hearts so they are unable to understand. |

al-Munafiqun 063:004
| 63:4 واذا رايتهم تعجبك اجسامهم وان يقولوا تسمع لقولهم كانهم خشب مسندة يحسبون كل صيحة عليهم هم العدو فاحذرهم قاتلهم الله انى يؤفكون |

| Transliteration | Wa-itha raaytahum tuAAjibuka ajsamuhum wa-in yaqooloo tasmaAA liqawlihim kaannahum khushubun musannadatun yahsaboona kulla sayhatin AAalayhim humu alAAaduwwu faihtharhum qatalahumu Allahu anna yu/fakoona |
| Literal | And if you saw them , their bodies pleases/marvels you, and if they say (talk), you hear/listen to their statement/word as if they are supported wood (logs), they think/suppose each/ every loud strong cry/torture raid is on (against) them, they are the enemy, so be warned/cautious (of) them , God fought them , (so) where/how (do) they be turned away ? |

| Yusuf Ali | When thou lookest at them, their exteriors please thee; and when they speak, thou listenest to their words. They are as (worthless as hollow) pieces of timber propped up, (unable to stand on their own). They think that every cry is against them. They are the enemies; so beware of them. The curse of Allah be on them! How are they deluded (away from the Truth)! |
| Pickthal | And when thou seest them their figures please thee; and if they speak thou givest ear unto their speech. (They are) as though they were blocks of wood in striped cloaks. They deem every shout to be against them. They are the enemy, so beware of them. Allah confound them! How they are perverted! |
| Arberry | When thou seest them, their bodies please thee; but when they speak, thou listenest to their speech, and it is as they were propped-up timbers. They think every cry is against them. They are the enemy; so beware of them. God assail them! How they are perverted! |
| Shakir | And when you see them, their persons will please you, and If they speak, you will listen to their speech; (they are) as if they were big pieces of wood clad with garments; they think every cry to be against them. They are the enemy, therefore beware of them; may Allah destroy them, whence are they turned back? |
| Sarwar | When the prayer ends, disperse through the land and seek the favor of God. Remember Him often so that perhaps you will have everlasting happiness. |
| Khalifa | When you see them, you may be impressed by their looks. And when they speak, you may listen to their eloquence. They are like standing logs. They think that every call is intended against them. These are the real enemies; beware of them. GOD condemns them; they have deviated |
| Hilali/Khan | And when you look at them, their bodies please you; and when they speak, you listen to their words. They are as blocks of wood propped up. They think that every cry is against them. They are the enemies, so beware of them. May Allah curse them! How are they denying (or deviating from) the Right Path. |
| H/K/Saheeh | And when you see them, their forms please you, and if they speak, you listen to their speech. [They are] as if they were pieces of wood propped up they think that every shout is against them. They are the enemy, so beware of them. May Allah destroy them; how are they deluded? |
| Malik | When you see them, their good stature pleases you; and when they speak, you listen to what they say. Yet they are as worthless as hollow pieces of propped up timber. Every shout they hear, they think it to be against them. They are your enemies, so guard yourselves against them. May Allah destroy them! How perverse they are![4] |
| QXP | Now when you see them, their looks may impress you. And if they speak, you are inclined to listen to their speech. But they are like wooden logs propped up. (Empty of inner strength unable to stand on their own feet). They think that every call is directed against them. These are the real enemies, so beware of them. Allah condemns them. They are far deviated. |
| Maulana Ali | And when thou seest them, their persons please thee; and if they speak, thou listenest to their speech. They are like pieces of wood, clad with garments. They think every cry to be against them. They are the enemy, so beware of them. May Allah destroy them! How they are turned back! |

They think that every call is intended for them. These are the enemies, so beware of them. May God condemn them; they have deviated. |
| Qaribullah | When you see them their bodies please you, but when they speak and you listen to their sayings, they are like proppedup timber. Every shout (they hear) they take it to be against them. They are the enemy be wary of them. Allah kills them! How perverse they are! |

They are the [real] enemies [of all faith], so beware of them. [They deserve the imprecation,] "May God destroy them!" 5 How perverted are their minds! |
al-Munafiqun 063:005
| 63:5 واذا قيل لهم تعالوا يستغفر لكم رسول الله لووا رؤوسهم ورايتهم يصدون وهم مستكبرون |

| Transliteration | Wa-itha qeela lahum taAAalaw yastaghfir lakum rasoolu Allahi lawwaw ruoosahum waraaytahum yasuddoona wahum mustakbiroona |
| Literal | And when/if (it) was said to them: "Come, God's messenger asks for forgiveness for you." They twisted/turned/ bent their heads, and you saw them preventing/obstructing , and they are arrogant. |

| Yusuf Ali | And when it is said to them, "Come, the Messenger of Allah will pray for your forgiveness", they turn aside their heads, and thou wouldst see them turning away their faces in arrogance. |
| Pickthal | And when it is said unto them: Come! The messenger of Allah will ask forgiveness for you! they avert their faces and thou seest them turning away, disdainful. |
| Arberry | And when it is said to them, 'Come now, and God's Messenger will ask forgiveness for you,' they twist their heads, and thou seest them turning their faces away, waxing proud. |
| Shakir | And when it is said to them: Come, the Messenger of Allah will ask forgiveness for you, they turn back their heads and you may see them turning away while they are big with pride. |
| Sarwar | When they see some merchandise or some sport, they rush towards it and leave you alone standing. Say, "(God's rewards for good deeds) are better than merriment or merchandise; God is the best Sustainer". |
| Khalifa | When they are told, "Come let the messenger of GOD pray for your forgiveness," they mockingly turn their heads, and you see them repel others and act arrogantly. |
| Hilali/Khan | And when it is said to them: "Come, so that the Messenger of Allah may ask forgiveness from Allah for you", they turn aside their heads, and you would see them turning away their faces in pride. |
| H/K/Saheeh | And when it is said to them, "Come, the Messenger of Allah will ask forgiveness for you," they turn their heads aside and you see them evading while they are arrogant. |
| Malik | When it is said to them: "Come, the Messenger of Allah will pray for your forgiveness," they shake their heads and you see them turning away with arrogance.[5] |
| QXP | And when it is said to them, "Come! Allah's Messenger will ask for your forgiveness", they shake their heads, and you see them pause, and then draw back in false pride. |
| Maulana Ali | And when it is said to them: Come, the Messenger of Allah will ask forgiveness for you, they turn away their heads and thou seest them hindering (others), and they are big with pride. |
| Free Minds | And if they are told: "Come and let the messenger of God ask for your forgiveness," they turn aside their heads, and you see them walking away in pride. |
| Qaribullah | When it is said to them: 'Come, the Messenger of Allah will ask forgiveness for you, ' they turn their heads in pride and you see them go away. |

al-Munafiqun 063:006
| 63:6 سواء عليهم استغفرت لهم ام لم تستغفر لهم لن يغفر الله لهم ان الله لايهدي القوم الفاسقين |

| Transliteration | Sawaon AAalayhim astaghfarta lahum am lam tastaghfir lahum lan yaghfira Allahu lahum inna Allaha la yahdee alqawma alfasiqeena |
| Literal | (It is) equal/alike on (for) them (if) you asked for forgiveness for them, or you did not ask for forgiveness for them, God will never/not forgive for them, that truly God does not guide the nation, the debauchers . |

| Yusuf Ali | It is equal to them whether thou pray for their forgiveness or not. Allah will not forgive them. Truly Allah guides not rebellious transgressors. |
| Pickthal | Whether thou ask forgiveness for them or ask not forgiveness for them is all one for them; Allah will not forgive them. Lo! Allah guideth not the evil-living folk. |
| Arberry | Equal it is for them, whether thou askest forgiveness for them or thou askest not forgiveness for them; God will never forgive them. God guides not the people of the ungodly. |

| Khalifa | It is the same for them, whether you pray for their forgiveness, or not pray for their forgiveness; GOD will not forgive them. For GOD does not guide the wicked people. |
| Hilali/Khan | It is equal to them whether you (Muhammad SAW) ask forgiveness or ask not forgiveness for them. Verily, Allah guides not the people who are the Fasiqeen (rebellious, disobedient to Allah) . |
| H/K/Saheeh | It is all the same for them whether you ask forgiveness for them or do not ask forgiveness for them; never will Allah forgive them. Indeed, Allah does not guide the defiantly disobedient people. |
| Malik | It is the same, whether you pray for their forgiveness or not, Allah is not going to forgive them. Surely Allah does not guide the transgressors.[6] |
| QXP | It is the same for them whether you pray for their forgiveness, or not pray for their forgiveness. Allah will not forgive them. For, behold, Allah does not guide those who keep drifting away from reason. |

al-Munafiqun 063:007
| 63:7 هم الذين يقولون لاتنفقوا على من عند رسول الله حتى ينفضوا ولله خزائن السماوات والارض ولكن المنافقين لايفقهون |

| Transliteration | Humu allatheena yaqooloona la tunfiqoo AAala man AAinda rasooli Allahi hatta yanfaddoo walillahi khaza-inu alssamawati waal-ardi walakinna almunafiqeena la yafqahoona |
| Literal | They are those who say: "Do not spend on whom (is) at God's messenger, until they scatter/separate And to God (are) the skies'/space's and the earth's/Planet Earth's safes/storages (treasures), and but the hypocrites do not understand/learn . |

| Yusuf Ali | They are the ones who say, "Spend nothing on those who are with Allah's Messenger, to the end that they may disperse (and quit Medina)." But to Allah belong the treasures of the heavens and the earth; but the Hypocrites understand not. |
| Pickthal | They it is who say: Spend not on behalf of those (who dwell) with Allah's messenger that they may disperse (and go away from you); when Allah's are the treasures of the heavens and the earth; but the hypocrites comprehend not. |
| Arberry | Those are they that say, 'Do not expend on them that are with God's Messenger until they scatter off'; yet unto God belong the treasuries of the heavens and of the earth, but the hypocrites do not understand. |

| Sarwar | They have chosen their oaths as a shield for them to obstruct others from the way of God. How terrible is what they do! |
| Khalifa | They are the ones who say, "Do not give any money to those who followed the messenger of GOD, perhaps they abandon him!" However, GOD possesses the treasures of the heavens and the earth, but the hypocrites do not comprehend. |
| Hilali/Khan | They are the ones who say: "Spend not on those who are with Allahs Messenger, until they desert him." And to Allah belong the treasures of the heavens and the earth, but the hypocrites comprehend not. |
| H/K/Saheeh | They are the ones who say, "Do not spend on those who are with the Messenger of Allah until they disband." And to Allah belongs the depositories of the heavens and the earth, but the hypocrites do not understand. |
| Malik | They are the same people who say: "Do not give anything to those who follow the Messenger of Allah until they have deserted him." To Allah belong the treasures of the heavens and the earth; but the hypocrites cannot understand.[7] |
| QXP | They it is who say, "Spend nothing on those with Allah's Messenger, so that they disperse (and leave the city)." However, to Allah belong the Treasures of the heavens and the earth, but the hypocrites comprehend not. ('Ansar' the Muslim residents of Madinah were supporting the needy 'Muhajirin' or immigrants from Makkah). |
| Maulana Ali | They it is who say: Spend not on those who are with the Messenger of Allah that they may disperse. And Allah’s are the treasures of the heavens and the earth, but the hypocrites understand not. |

| George Sale | These are the men who say to the inhabitants of Medina, do not bestow any thing on the refugees who are with the Apostle of God, that they may be obliged to separate from him. Whereas unto God belong the stores of heaven and earth: But the hypocrites do not understand. |

| 63:8 يقولون لئن رجعنا الى المدينة ليخرجن الاعز منها الاذل ولله العزة ولرسوله وللمؤمنين ولكن المنافقين لايعلمون |

| Transliteration | Yaqooloona la-in rajaAAna ila almadeenati layukhrijanna al-aAAazzu minha al-athalla walillahi alAAizzatu walirasoolihi walilmu/mineena walakinna almunafiqeena la yaAAlamoona |
| Literal | They say: "If (E) we returned to the city/town, the more dignified/honoured will bring out (exile) the most humiliated/weakest ." And to God (is) the glory/might/power , and to His messenger, and to the believers, and but the hypocrites do not know. |

| Khalifa | They say, "If we go back to the city, the powerful therein will evict the weak (and we will be victimized)." (They should know that) all dignity belongs to GOD and His messenger, and the believers. However, the hypocrites do not know. |
| Hilali/Khan | They (hyprocrites) say: "If we return to Al-Madinah, indeed the more honourable (Abdoollah bin Ubai bin Salul, the chief of hyprocrites at AlMadinah) will expel therefrom the meaner (i.e. Allahs Messenger SAW)." But honour, power and glory belong to Allah, His Messenger (Muhammad SAW), and to the believers, but the hypocrites know not. |

| 63:9 ياايها الذين امنوا لاتلهكم اموالكم ولااولادكم عن ذكر الله ومن يفعل ذلك فاولئك هم الخاسرون |

| Transliteration | Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo la tulhikum amwalukum wala awladukum AAan thikri Allahi waman yafAAal thalika faola-ika humu alkhasiroona |
| Literal | You, you those who believed, (let) not your properties/possessions/wealths and nor your children distract/preoccupy you from mentioning/remembering God, and who makes/does that, so those, they are the losers/misguided . |

| Yusuf Ali | O ye who believe! Let not your riches or your children divert you from the remembrance of Allah. If any act thus, the loss is their own. |
| Pickthal | O ye who believe! Let not your wealth nor your children distract you from remembrance of Allah. Those who do so, they are the losers. |
| Arberry | O believers, let not your possessions neither your children divert you from God's remembrance; whoso does that, they are the losers. |

| Sarwar | Their physical appearance attracts you when you see them and when they speak, you carefully listen to them. In fact, they are like propped up hollow trunks of wood (They are so cowardly) they think that every cry which they hear is against them. They are the enemy, so beware of them. May God condemn them. Where are they turning to, leaving behind the Truth?. |
| Khalifa | O you who believe, do not be distracted by your money and your children from remembering GOD. Those who do this are the losers. |
| Hilali/Khan | O you who believe! Let not your properties or your children divert you from the remembrance of Allah. And whosoever does that, then they are the losers. |
| H/K/Saheeh | O you who have believed, let not your wealth and your children divert you from remembrance of Allah. And whoever does that then those are the losers. |
| Malik | O believers! Let neither your riches nor your children divert you from the remembrance of Allah. Those who will do so, it is they who shall be the real losers.[9] |
| QXP | O You who have chosen to be graced with belief! Let not your wealth nor your children distract you from the Reminder of Allah. For, any who does so, it is they, they who are the losers. |

al-Munafiqun 063:010
| 63:10 وانفقوا من مارزقناكم من قبل ان ياتي احدكم الموت فيقول رب لولا اخرتني الى اجل قريب فاصدق واكن من الصالحين |

| Transliteration | Waanfiqoo min ma razaqnakum min qabli an ya/tiya ahadakumu almawtu fayaqoola rabbi lawla akhkhartanee ila ajalin qareebin faassaddaqa waakun mina alssaliheena |
| Literal | And spend from what We provided for you, from before that the death/lifelessness comes (to) one of you, so he says: "My Lord, if only You delayed me to a near/close term/time, so I will give charity and I will be from correct, righteous." |

| Yusuf Ali | and spend something (in charity) out of the substance which We have bestowed on you, before Death should come to any of you and he should say, "O my Lord! why didst Thou not give me respite for a little while? I should then have given (largely) in charity, and I should have been one of the doers of good". |

| Sarwar | When they are told, "Come and let the Prophet of God seek forgiveness for you," they shake their heads and you can see them arrogantly turning away. |
| Khalifa | You shall give from our provisions to you before death comes to you, then you say, "My Lord, if only You could delay this for a short while! I would then be charitable and join the righteous!" |
| Hilali/Khan | And spend (in charity) of that with which We have provided you, before death comes to one of you and he says: "My Lord! If only You would give me respite for a little while (i.e. return to the worldly life), then I should give Sadaqah (i.e. Zakat) of my wealth , and be among the righteous (i.e. perform Hajj (pilgrimage to Makkah)). |
| H/K/Saheeh | And spend [in the way of Allah] from what We have provided you before death approaches one of you and he says, "My Lord, if only You would delay me for a brief term so I would give charity and be among the righteous." |
| Malik | Spend, in charity and in the Cause of Allah, out of the sustenance which We have bestowed on you before that time when death will come to anyone of you, and he shall say: "O my Lord! If only you would reprieve me for a little while then I would give out everything in charity, and be among the righteous."[10] |
| QXP | And spend on others of what We have provided you with, before death comes to one of you. And he then says, "My Lord! If only You would delay this for a short while, so that I could give in charity and be among the righteous." |

| 63:11 ولن يؤخر الله نفسا اذا جاء اجلها والله خبير بما تعملون |

| Transliteration | Walan yu-akhkhira Allahu nafsan itha jaa ajaluha waAllahu khabeerun bima taAAmaloona |
| Literal | And God will never/not delay a self if its term/time came, and God (is) expert/experienced with what you make/do |

| Yusuf Ali | But to no soul will Allah grant respite when the time appointed (for it) has come; and Allah is well acquainted with (all) that ye do. |
| Pickthal | But Allah reprieveth no soul when its term cometh, and Allah is Informed of what ye do. |
| Arberry | But God will never defer any soul when its term comes. And God is aware of the things you do. |
| Shakir | And Allah does not respite a soul when its appointed term has come, and Allah is Aware of what you do. |
| Sarwar | It is all the same whether you seek forgiveness for them or not; God will never forgive them. God does not guide the evil-doing people. |
| Khalifa | GOD never delays the appointed time of death for any soul. GOD is fully Cognizant of everything you do. |
| Hilali/Khan | And Allah grants respite to none when his appointed time (death) comes. And Allah is All-Aware of what you do. |
| H/K/Saheeh | But never will Allah delay a soul when its time has come. And Allah is Acquainted with what you do. 64-Surah At-Taghabun Bismillahir Raúmanir-Raúeem |
| Malik | But Allah reprieves no soul when its term comes to an end. Allah is well aware of all your actions.[11] |
| QXP | But never does Allah delay to a person when his term has come. And Allah is fully Aware of what you have accomplished in life. |
