| Transliteration | Wama wajadna li-aktharihim min AAahdin wa-in wajadna aktharahum lafasiqeena |
| Literal | And We did not find to most of them from a promise/contract , and that truly We found most of them debauchers (E) . |
| Yusuf Ali | Most of them We found not men (true) to their covenant: but most of them We found rebellious and disobedient. |
