13:4 وفي الارض قطع متجاورات وجنات من اعناب وزرع ونخيل صنوان وغير صنوان يسقى بماء واحد ونفضل بعضها على بعض في الاكل ان في ذلك لايات لقوم يعقلون | |
Transliteration | Wafee al-ardi qitaAAun mutajawiratun wajannatun min aAAnabin wazarAAun wanakheelun sinwanun waghayru sinwanin yusqa bima-in wahidin wanufaddilu baAAdaha AAala baAAdin fee alokuli inna fee thalika laayatin liqawmin yaAAqiloona |
Literal | And in the earth/Planet Earth (are) parts/portions (sections) neighboring each other, and treed gardens/paradises from grapes and plants/crops and palm trees' off shoots from a single root and without off shoots from a single root being given drink/irrigated with one water, and We prefer/favour some/part of it over some/part, in the food/fruits, that in that (are) evidences/signs (E) to a nation reasoning/comprehending . |
Yusuf Ali | And in the earth are tracts (diverse though) neighbouring, and gardens of vines and fields sown with corn, and palm trees - growing out of single roots or otherwise: watered with the same water, yet some of them We make more excellent than others to eat. Behold, verily in these things there are signs for those who understand! |
Pickthal | And in the Earth are neighbouring tracts, vineyards and ploughed lands, and date-palms, like and unlike, which are watered with one water. And we have made some of them to excel others in fruit. Lo! herein verily are portents for people who have sense. |
