| 24:34 ولقد انزلنا اليكم ايات مبينات ومثلا من الذين خلوا من قبلكم وموعظة للمتقين | |
| Transliteration | Walaqad anzalna ilaykum ayatin mubayyinatin wamathalan mina allatheena khalaw min qablikum wamawAAithatan lilmuttaqeena |
| Literal | And We had descended to you verses/evidences evident, and an example/proverb from those who past/expired from before you, and an advice/warning to the fearing and obeying. |
| Yusuf Ali | We have already sent down to you verses making things clear, an illustration from (the story of) people who passed away before you, and an admonition for those who fear (Allah). |
| Pickthal | And verily We have sent down for you revelations that make plain, and the example of those who passed away before you. An admonition unto those who ward off (evil). |
