| 60:9 انما ينهاكم الله عن الذين قاتلوكم في الدين واخرجوكم من دياركم وظاهروا علىاخراجكم ان تولوهم ومن يتولهم فاولئك هم الظالمون | |
| Transliteration | Innama yanhakumu Allahu AAani allatheena qatalookum fee alddeeni waakhrajookum min diyarikum wathaharoo AAala ikhrajikum an tawallawhum waman yatawallahum faola-ika humu alththalimoona |
| Literal | But God forbids/prevents you from those who fought/killed you in the religion, and they brought/drove you out from your houses/countries , and they cooperated/supported on forcing/driving you out , that (E) you follow them, and who follows them, so those, they are the unjust/oppressive. |
| Yusuf Ali | Allah only forbids you, with regard to those who fight you for (your) Faith, and drive you out of your homes, and support (others) in driving you out, from turning to them (for friendship and protection). It is such as turn to them (in these circumstances), that do wrong. |
| Pickthal | Allah forbiddeth you only those who warred against you on account of religion and have driven you out from your homes and helped to drive you out, that ye make friends of them. Whosoever maketh friends of them - (All) such are wrong-doers. |
