| 9:39 الا تنفروا يعذبكم عذابا اليما ويستبدل قوما غيركم ولاتضروه شيئا والله على كل شئ قدير | |
| Transliteration | Illa tanfiroo yuAAaththibkum AAathaban aleeman wayastabdil qawman ghayrakum wala tadurroohu shay-an waAllahu AAala kulli shay-in qadeerun |
| Literal | Unless you rush/hasten , He tortures you a painful torture and He exchanges/substitutes a nation other than you, and you do not harm him (in) a thing, and God (is) on every thing capable/powerful . |
| Yusuf Ali | Unless ye go forth, He will punish you with a grievous penalty, and put others in your place; but Him ye would not harm in the least. For Allah hath power over all things. |
| Pickthal | If ye go not forth He will afflict you with a painful doom, and will choose instead of you a folk other than you. Ye cannot harm Him at all. Allah is Able to do all things. |
