| 9:44 لايستأذنك الذين يؤمنون بالله واليوم الاخر ان يجاهدوا باموالهم وانفسهم والله عليم بالمتقين | |
| Transliteration | La yasta/thinuka allatheena yu/minoona biAllahi waalyawmi al-akhiri an yujahidoo bi-amwalihim waanfusihim waAllahu AAaleemun bialmuttaqeena |
| Literal | Those who believe by God and the Day the Last/Resurrection Day do not ask for your permission/pardon that they struggle/do their utmost with their properties/possessions and themselves, and God (is) knowledgeable with the fearing and obeying. |
| Yusuf Ali | Those who believe in Allah and the Last Day ask thee for no exemption from fighting with their goods and persons. And Allah knoweth well those who do their duty. |
