9:53 قل انفقوا طوعا او كرها لن يتقبل منكم انكم كنتم قوما فاسقين | |
Transliteration | Qul anfiqoo tawAAan aw karhan lan yutaqabbala minkum innakum kuntum qawman fasiqeena |
Literal | Say: "Spend voluntarily or forcefully/involuntarily , (it) will never/not be accepted from you, that you are/were a nation (of) debauchers ." |
Yusuf Ali | Say: "Spend (for the cause) willingly or unwillingly: not from you will it be accepted: for ye are indeed a people rebellious and wicked." |
Pickthal | Say: Pay (your contribution), willingly or unwillingly, it will not be accepted from you. Lo! ye were ever froward folk. |
