| 9:66 لاتعتذروا قد كفرتم بعد ايمانكم ان نعف عن طائفة منكم نعذب طائفة بانهم كانوا مجرمين | |
| Transliteration | La taAAtathiroo qad kafartum baAAda eemanikum in naAAfu AAan ta-ifatin minkum nuAAaththib ta-ifatan bi-annahum kanoo mujrimeena |
| Literal | Do not apologize/find excuses, you had disbelieved after your belief, if We forgive/pardon on a group of people from you, We torture a group of people because they were criminals/sinners. |
| Yusuf Ali | Make ye no excuses: ye have rejected Faith after ye had accepted it. If We pardon some of you, We will punish others amongst you, for that they are in sin. |
