al-Haqqah (The Reality, The Inevitable) 69:16

69:16 وانشقت السماء فهي يومئذ واهية


TransliterationWainshaqqati alssamao fahiya yawma-ithin wahiyatun
LiteralAnd the sky/space split away/cut open , so it is (on) that day cracked/weak .

Yusuf AliAnd the sky will be rent asunder, for it will that Day be flimsy,
PickthalAnd the heaven will split asunder, for that day it will be frail.
Arberry and heaven shall be split, for upon that day it shall be very frail,
ShakirAnd the heaven shall cleave asunder, so that on that day it shall be frail,
Sarwarand the heavens will be rent asunder, and will turn frail, losing all force.
KhalifaThe heaven will crack, and fall apart.
Hilali/KhanAnd the heaven will split asunder, for that Day it (the heaven will be frail (weak), and torn up,
H/K/SaheehAnd the heaven will split [open], for that Day it is infirm.
Malikheaven shall split asunder, and the day shall seem flimsy.[16]
QXPAnd when the sky will be rent asunder, such that frail will it be that Day.
Maulana AliAnd the heaven will be cleft asunder; so that day it will be frail,
Free MindsAnd the heavens will be torn, and on that Day it will be flimsy.
Qaribullah The heaven will be split; because on that Day it will be frail.

George Saleand the heavens shall cleave in sunder, and shall fall in pieces, on that day:
JM RodwellAnd the heaven shall cleave asunder, for on that day it shall be fragile;

Asadand the sky will be rent asunder 9 - for, frail will it have become on that Day - ;
