‏69:3 وماادراك ماالحاقة

Transliteration	Wama adraka ma alhaqqatu
Literal	And what makes you know what (is) the disaster/catastrophe/reality ?

Yusuf Ali	And what will make thee realise what the Sure Reality is?
Pickthal	Ah, what will convey unto thee what the reality is!
Arberry	And what will teach thee what is the Indubitable?
Shakir	And what would make you realize what the sure calamity is!
Sarwar	Would that you knew (in detail) what the Inevitable is!
Khalifa	It is truly incontestable.
Hilali/Khan	And what will make you know what the Reality is?
H/K/Saheeh	And what can make you know what is the Inevitable Reality?
Malik	And what will make you understand what the Haqqah is?[3]
QXP	Ah, what can give you an idea what the Inevitable Reality is!
Maulana Ali	And what would make thee realize what the sure Truth is?
Free Minds	Absolutely, do you know what is the reality?
Qaribullah	What makes you to know what the Resurrection Verifier is?

al-Haqqah 069:004

‏69:4 كذبت ثمود وعاد بالقارعة

Transliteration	Kaththabat thamoodu waAAadun bialqariAAati
Literal	Thamud and Aad lied/denied/falsified with the Resurrection/disaster/calamity .

Yusuf Ali	The Thamud and the 'Ad People (branded) as false the Stunning Calamity!
Pickthal	(The tribes of) Thamud and A'ad disbelieved in the judgment to come.
Arberry	Thamood and Ad cried lies to the Clatterer.
Shakir	Samood and Ad called the striking calamity a lie.
Sarwar	The people of Thamud and Ad denied the Day of Judgment.
Khalifa	Thamoud and `Aad disbelieved in the Shocker.
Hilali/Khan	Thamood and Ad people denied the Qariah (the striking Hour (of Judgement))!
H/K/Saheeh	Thamud and Aad denied the Striking Calamity.
Malik	The Thamud and the ‘Ad people denied the striking calamity.[4]

George Sale	The tribes of Thamud and Ad denied as a falsehood the day which shall strike men's hearts with terror.

Asad	THE LIE gave [the tribes of] Thamud and `Ad to [all tidings of] that sudden calamity!

al-Haqqah 069:005

‏69:5 فاما ثمود فاهلكوا بالطاغية

Transliteration	Faamma thamoodu faohlikoo bialttaghiyati
Literal	So but (for) Thamud , so they were made to die/destroyed with a wind blowing/frosty (and) violent .

Yusuf Ali	But the Thamud,- they were destroyed by a terrible Storm of thunder and lightning!
Pickthal	As for Thamud, they were destroyed by the lightning.
Arberry	As for Thamood, they were destroyed by the Screamer;
Shakir	Then as to Samood, they were destroyed by an excessively severe punishment.
Sarwar	The Thamuds were destroyed by a violent blast of sound.
Khalifa	As for Thamoud, they were annihilated by the devastating (quake).
Hilali/Khan	As for Thamood, they were destroyed by the awful cry!
H/K/Saheeh	So as for Thamud, they were destroyed by the overpowering [blast].
Malik	As for Thamud, they were destroyed by the Thunderbolt.[5]
QXP	As for Thamud, they were destroyed by a thunderous blast.
Maulana Ali	Then as for Thamud, they were destroyed by the severe punishment.
Free Minds	As for Thamud, they were annihilated by the devastation.
Qaribullah	Thamood, they were destroyed by the violent shout (of Gabriel),

George Sale	But Thamud were destroyed by a terrible noise:
JM Rodwell	So as to Themoud, they were destroyed by crashing thunder bolts;

Asad	Now as for the Thamud - they were destroyed by a violent upheaval [of the earth];

al-Haqqah 069:006

‏69:6 واما عاد فاهلكوا بريح صرصر عاتية

Transliteration	Waamma AAadun faohlikoo bireehin sarsarin AAatiyatin
Literal	And but (for) Aad , so they were made to die/destroyed by a violent blowing/frosty wind .

Yusuf Ali	And the 'Ad, they were destroyed by a furious Wind, exceedingly violent;
Pickthal	And as for A'ad, they were destroyed by a fierce roaring wind,
Arberry	and as for Ad, they were destroyed by a wind clamorous,
Shakir	And as to Ad, they were destroyed by a roaring, violent blast.
Sarwar	The Ads were destroyed by a swift, destructive gale
Khalifa	As for `Aad, they were annihilated by a persistent, violent storm
Hilali/Khan	And as for Ad, they were destroyed by a furious violent wind;
H/K/Saheeh	And as for Aad, they were destroyed by a screaming, violent wind
Malik	As for 'Ad they were destroyed by a furious windstorm[6]
QXP	And as for Aad, they were annihilated with raging hurricane winds.
Maulana Ali	And as for ‘Ad, they were destroyed by a roaring, violent wind,

Qaribullah	as for Aad, they were destroyed by a howling, violent wind

George Sale	And Ad were destroyed by a roaring and furious wind;

Asad	and as for the `Ad - they were destroyed by a storm wind furiously raging,

‏69:7 سخرها عليهم سبع ليال وثمانية ايام حسوما فترى القوم فيها صرعى كانهم اعجاز نخل خاوية

Transliteration	Sakhkharaha AAalayhim sabAAa layalin wathamaniyata ayyamin husooman fatara alqawma feeha sarAAa kaannahum aAAjazu nakhlin khawiyatun
Literal	He manipulated/subjugated it on them seven nights and eight days ominously/severing goodness (uprooting), so you see the nation in it lying flat/mad, as if they are palm tree's fallen/destroyed ends.

Yusuf Ali	He made it rage against them seven nights and eight days in succession: so that thou couldst see the (whole) people lying prostrate in its (path), as they had been roots of hollow palm-trees tumbled down!
Pickthal	Which He imposed on them for seven long nights and eight long days so that thou mightest have seen men lying overthrown, as they were hollow trunks of palm-trees.
Arberry	violent that He compelled against them seven nights and eight days, uninterruptedly, and thou mightest see the people laid prostrate in it as if they were the stumps of fallen down palm-trees.
Shakir	Which He made to prevail against them for seven nights and eight days unremittingly, so that you might have seen the people therein prostrate as if they were the trunks of hollow palms.
Sarwar	which continued to strike them for seven and eight days so that eventually you could see the people lying dead like the hollow trunks of uprooted palm-trees.
Khalifa	He unleashed it upon them for seven nights and eight days, violently. You could see the people tossed around like decayed palm trunks.
Hilali/Khan	Which Allah imposed on them for seven nights and eight days in succession, so that you could see men lying overthrown (destroyed), as if they were hollow trunks of date-palms!
H/K/Saheeh	Which Allah imposed upon them for seven nights and eight days in succession, so you would see the people therein fallen as if they were hollow trunks of palm trees.
Malik	- which He let loose on them for seven nights and eight successive days. Had you been there, you would have seen them lying prostrate as though they were hollow trunks of the palm-trees.[7]
QXP	Which He made it rage upon them for seven long nights and eight long days. Such that you could imagine those people as uprooted hollow palm-trunks. (54:20).
Maulana Ali	Which He made to prevail against them for seven nights and eight days continuously, so that thou mightest have seen the people therein prostrate as if they were trunks of hollow palm-trees.
Free Minds	He unleashed it upon them for seven nights and eight days, in succession. You could see the people destroyed in it, as if they are decayed palm trunks.
Qaribullah	that He subjected upon them for seven nights and eight days consecutively and you might have seen them struck down as if they were the stumps of palm trees that had fallen down.

George Sale	which God caused to assail them for seven nights and eight days successively: Thou mightest have seen people, during the same, lying prostrate, as though they had been the roots, of hollow palm-trees;
JM Rodwell	It did the bidding of God against them seven nights and eight days together, during which thou mightest have seen the people laid low, as though they had been the trunks of hollow palms;

Asad	which He willed against them for seven nights and eight days without cease, so that in the end thou couldst see those people laid low [in death], as though they were so many [uprooted] trunks of hollow palm trees:

al-Haqqah 069:008

‏69:8 فهل ترى لهم من باقية

Transliteration	Fahal tara lahum min baqiyatin
Literal	So do you see for them from a remainder/remnant?

Yusuf Ali	Then seest thou any of them left surviving?
Pickthal	Canst thou (O Muhammad) see any remnant of them?
Arberry	Now dost thou see any remnant of them?
Shakir	Do you then see of them one remaining?
Sarwar	Can you see any of their survivors?.
Khalifa	Can you find any trace of them?
Hilali/Khan	Do you see any remnants of them?
H/K/Saheeh	Then do you see of them any remains?
Malik	Now, do you see any of them alive?[8]
QXP	Now, can you see any remnants of them?
Maulana Ali	So canst thou see a remnant of them?
Free Minds	Do you see any remnants of them?
Qaribullah	Can you see any remnant of them now?

George Sale	and couldest thou have seen any of them remaining?
JM Rodwell	And couldst thou have seen one of them surviving?

Asad	and dost thou now see any remnant of them?

al-Haqqah 069:009

‏69:9 وجاء فرعون ومن قبله والمؤتفكات بالخاطئة

Transliteration	Wajaa firAAawnu waman qablahu waalmu/tafikatu bialkhati-ati
Literal	And Pharaoh came, and who (is) before him, and the overturned/destroyed cities with the sin .

Yusuf Ali	And Pharaoh, and those before him, and the Cities Overthrown, committed habitual Sin.
Pickthal	And Pharaoh and those before him, and the communities that were destroyed, brought error,
Arberry	Pharaoh likewise, and those before him, and the Subverted Cities -- they committed error,
Shakir	And Firon and those before him and the overthrown cities continuously committed sins.
Sarwar	The Pharaoh, those who lived before him and the people of the Subverted Cities all persisted in doing evil.
Khalifa	Pharaoh, others before him, and the sinners (of Sodom) were wicked.
Hilali/Khan	And Firaun (Pharaoh), and those before him, and the cities overthrown (the towns of the people of (Lout (Lot)) committed sin,
H/K/Saheeh	And there came Pharaoh and those before him and the overturned cities with sin.
Malik	Pharaoh and those before him, and the inhabitants of the overthrown cities also committed similar sins[9]
QXP	And there came Pharaoh, and many others before him, and the townships that were overthrown. All of them committed fault upon fault.
Maulana Ali	And Pharaoh and those before him and the overthrown cities wrought evil.
Free Minds	And Pharaoh, and those before him, and the sinners, came with wickedness.
Qaribullah	Similarly, Pharaoh, and those before him, and the ruined villages, sinned

George Sale	Pharaoh also, and those who were before him, and the cities which were overthrown, were guilty of sin;
JM Rodwell	Pharaoh also, and those who flourished before him, and the overthrown cities, committed sin,-

Asad	And there was Pharaoh, too, and [many of] those who lived before him, and the cities that were overthrown 5 - [all of them] indulged in sin upon sins

al-Haqqah 069:010

‏69:10 فعصوا رسول ربهم فاخذهم اخذة رابية

Transliteration	FaAAasaw rasoola rabbihim faakhathahum akhthatan rabiyatan
Literal	So they disobeyed their Lord's messenger, so He punished them an increased spellbinding (devastating) punishment .

Yusuf Ali	And disobeyed (each) the messenger of their Lord; so He punished them with an abundant Penalty.
Pickthal	And they disobeyed the messenger of their Lord, therefor did He grip them with a tightening grip.
Arberry	and they rebelled against the Messenger of their Lord, and He seized them with a surpassing grip.
Shakir	And they disobeyed the Messenger of their Lord, so He punished them with a vehement punishment.
Sarwar	They disobeyed the Messenger of their Lord and He seized them with torment which increased with time.
Khalifa	They disobeyed the messenger of their Lord. Consequently, He requited them a devastating requital.
Hilali/Khan	And they disobeyed their Lords Messenger, so He punished them with a strong punishment.
H/K/Saheeh	And they disobeyed the messenger of their Lord, so He seized them with a seizure exceeding [in severity].
Malik	and disobeyed the Messengers of their Lord, so He gripped them with a tight grip.[10]
QXP	For, they disobeyed the respective Messenger of their Lord. Consequently, He grasped them with a firm grasp.
Maulana Ali	And they disobeyed the messenger of their Lord, so he punished them with a vehement punishment.
Free Minds	They disobeyed the messenger of their Lord. So He took them with a devastating requital.
Qaribullah	and rebelled against their Lord's Messenger. So He took them with a stern taking.

George Sale	and they severally were disobedient to the Apostle of their Lord; wherefore He chastised them with an abundant chastisement.
JM Rodwell	And disobeyed the Sent one of their Lord; therefore did he chastise them with an accumulated chastisement.

Asad	and rebelled against their Sustainer's apostles: and so He took them to task with a punishing grasp exceedingly severe!

al-Haqqah 069:011

‏69:11 انا لما طغى الماء حملناكم في الجارية

Transliteration	Inna lamma tagha almao hamalnakum fee aljariyati
Literal	We (E) when the water became elevated (over flowed)/violent , We carried/lifted you in the ship/flowing .

Yusuf Ali	We, when the water (of Noah's Flood) overflowed beyond its limits, carried you (mankind), in the floating (Ark),
Pickthal	Lo! when the waters rose, We carried you upon the ship
Arberry	Lo, when the waters rose, We bore you in the running ship
Shakir	Surely We bore you up in the ship when the water rose high,
Sarwar	When the flood rose high and covered the whole land, We carried you in the Ark.
Khalifa	The flood was devastating, so we carried you on the floating (ark).
Hilali/Khan	Verily! When the water rose beyond its limits (Noohs (Noah) Flood), We carried you (mankind) in the floating (ship that was constructed by Nooh (Noah)).
H/K/Saheeh	Indeed, when the water overflowed, We carried your ancestors in the sailing ship
Malik	Just consider the great flood of Noah, when the water rose high, We carried you (O mankind) in the floating Ark,[11]
QXP	Behold! When waters topped the levels, We carried you upon the watercraft.
Maulana Ali	Surely We carried you in the ship, when the water rose high,
Free Minds	And when the water flooded, We carried you on the vessel.
Qaribullah	And when the waters rose (high) We carried you in the sailing (Ark),

George Sale	When the water of the deluge arose, We carried you in the ark which swam thereon;
JM Rodwell	When the Flood rose high, we bare you in the Ark,

Asad	[And] behold: when the waters [of Noah's flood] burst beyond all limits, it was We who caused you 6 to be borne [to safety] in that floating ark,

al-Haqqah 069:012

‏69:12 لنجعلها لكم تذكرة وتعيها اذن واعية

Transliteration	LinajAAalaha lakum tathkiratan wataAAiyaha othunun waAAiyatun
Literal	To make/put it for you (as) a reminder, and comprehending/perceiving ears accept/understand it .

Yusuf Ali	That We might make it a Message unto you, and that ears (that should hear the tale and) retain its memory should bear its (lessons) in remembrance.
Pickthal	That We might make it a memorial for you, and that remembering ears (that heard the story) might remember.
Arberry	that We might make it a reminder for you and for heeding ears to hold.
Shakir	So that We may make it a reminder to you, and that the retaining ear might retain it.
Sarwar	as a lesson for you, but only attentive ears will retain it.
Khalifa	We rendered it a lesson for you, that any listening ear may understand.
Hilali/Khan	That We might make it a remembrance for you, and the keen ear (person) may (hear and) understand it.
H/K/Saheeh	That We might make it for you a reminder and [that] a conscious ear would be conscious of it.
Malik	that We may make that event a warning for you so that all attentive ears may retain its memory.[12]
QXP	(These events are conveyed to you) so that We might make it a lesson for you, and that any attentive ear might take it to memory.
Maulana Ali	That We might make it a reminder for you, and that the retaining ear might retain it.
Free Minds	That We would make it as a reminder for you, and so that any listening ear may understand.
Qaribullah	making it a Reminder for you, for all attentive ears to retain.

George Sale	that We might make the same a memorial unto you, and the retaining ear might retain it.
JM Rodwell	That we might make that event a warning to you, and that the retaining ear might retain it.

Asad	so that We might make all this 7 a [lasting] reminder to you all, and that every wide-awake ear might consciously take it in.

al-Haqqah 069:013

‏69:13 فاذا نفخ في الصور نفخة واحدة

Transliteration	Fa-itha nufikha fee alssoori nafkhatun wahidatun
Literal	So when (it) was blown in the horn/bugle/instrument, one blow.

Yusuf Ali	Then, when one blast is sounded on the Trumpet,
Pickthal	And when the trumpet shall sound one blast
Arberry	So, when the Trumpet is blown with a single blast
Shakir	And when the trumpet is blown with a single blast,
Sarwar	With the first blast of sound from the trumpet,
Khalifa	When the horn is blown once
Hilali/Khan	Then when the Trumpet will be blown with one blowing (the first one),
H/K/Saheeh	Then when the Horn is blown with one blast
Malik	As for the dooms- day, it shall come, when the Trumpet will be blown with a single blast[13]
QXP	Hence, think when the Trumpet will be sounded with a single Blast.
Maulana Ali	So when the trumpet is blown with a single blast,
Free Minds	And when the horn is blown once.
Qaribullah	When a single blow is blown on the Horn,

George Sale	And when one blast shall sound the trumpet,
JM Rodwell	But when one blast shall be blown on the trumpet,

Asad	Hence, [bethink yourselves of the Last Hour,] when the trumpet [of judgment] shall be sounded with a single blast,

al-Haqqah 069:014

‏69:14 وحملت الارض والجبال فدكتا دكة واحدة

Transliteration	Wahumilati al-ardu waaljibalu fadukkata dakkatan wahidatan
Literal	And the earth/Planet Earth and the mountains were carried/lifted , so they (B) were leveled/flattened one crunch/destruction .

Yusuf Ali	And the earth is moved, and its mountains, and they are crushed to powder at one stroke,-
Pickthal	And the earth with the mountains shall be lifted up and crushed with one crash,
Arberry	and the earth and the mountains are lifted up and crushed with a single blow,
Shakir	And the earth and the mountains are borne away and crushed with a single crushing.
Sarwar	the earth and mountains will be raised up high and crushed all together.
Khalifa	The earth and the mountains will be carried off and crushed; utterly crushed.
Hilali/Khan	And the earth and the mountains shall be removed from their places, and crushed with a single crushing,
H/K/Saheeh	And the earth and the mountains are lifted and leveled with one blow
Malik	and the earth with all its mountains will be lifted up and crushed into pieces with a single stroke[14]
QXP	And the earth will be moved and the mountains, and struck with a stroke.
Maulana Ali	And the earth and the mountains are borne away and crushed with one crash --
Free Minds	And the Earth and the mountains will be removed from their place and crushed with a single crush.
Qaribullah	when the earth with all its mountains is lifted up and crushed with a single blow,

George Sale	and the earth shall be moved from its place, and the mountains also, and shall be dashed in pieces at one stroke:
JM Rodwell	And the earth and the mountains shall be upheaved, and shall both be crushed into dust at a single crushing,

Asad	and the earth and the mountains shall be lifted up and crushed with a single stroke!

al-Haqqah 069:015

‏69:15 فيومئذ وقعت الواقعة

Transliteration	Fayawma-ithin waqaAAati alwaqiAAatu
Literal	So that day, the Resurrection/Event landed/happened .

Yusuf Ali	On that Day shall the (Great) Event come to pass.
Pickthal	Then, on that day will the Event befall.
Arberry	then, on that day, the Terror shall come to pass,
Shakir	On that day shall the great event come to pass,
Sarwar	On that day, the inevitable event will take place
Khalifa	That is the day when the inevitable event will come to pass.
Hilali/Khan	Then on that Day shall the (Great) Event befall,
H/K/Saheeh	Then on that Day, the Resurrection will occur,
Malik	- On that day the Great Event will come to pass,[15]
QXP	Then, on that Day when the Episode will come to pass.
Maulana Ali	On that day will the Event come to pass,
Free Minds	On that Day the unavoidable event will come to pass.
Qaribullah	on that Day, the Event occurs.

George Sale	On that day the inevitable hour of judgement shall suddenly come;
JM Rodwell	On that day the woe that must come suddenly shall suddenly come,

Asad	And so, that which must come to pass 8 will on that day have come to pass;

al-Haqqah 069:016

‏69:16 وانشقت السماء فهي يومئذ واهية

Transliteration	Wainshaqqati alssamao fahiya yawma-ithin wahiyatun
Literal	And the sky/space split away/cut open , so it is (on) that day cracked/weak .

Yusuf Ali	And the sky will be rent asunder, for it will that Day be flimsy,
Pickthal	And the heaven will split asunder, for that day it will be frail.
Arberry	and heaven shall be split, for upon that day it shall be very frail,
Shakir	And the heaven shall cleave asunder, so that on that day it shall be frail,
Sarwar	and the heavens will be rent asunder, and will turn frail, losing all force.
Khalifa	The heaven will crack, and fall apart.
Hilali/Khan	And the heaven will split asunder, for that Day it (the heaven will be frail (weak), and torn up,
H/K/Saheeh	And the heaven will split [open], for that Day it is infirm.
Malik	heaven shall split asunder, and the day shall seem flimsy.[16]
QXP	And when the sky will be rent asunder, such that frail will it be that Day.
Maulana Ali	And the heaven will be cleft asunder; so that day it will be frail,
Free Minds	And the heavens will be torn, and on that Day it will be flimsy.
Qaribullah	The heaven will be split; because on that Day it will be frail.

George Sale	and the heavens shall cleave in sunder, and shall fall in pieces, on that day:
JM Rodwell	And the heaven shall cleave asunder, for on that day it shall be fragile;

Asad	and the sky will be rent asunder 9 - for, frail will it have become on that Day - ;

al-Haqqah 069:017

‏69:17 والملك على ارجائها ويحمل عرش ربك فوقهم يومئذ ثمانية

Transliteration	Waalmalaku AAala arja-iha wayahmilu AAarsha rabbika fawqahum yawma-ithin thamaniyatun
Literal	And the angels (are) on its boundaries/vastness , and that day eight carries/lifts your Lord's throne above them .

Yusuf Ali	And the angels will be on its sides, and eight will, that Day, bear the Throne of thy Lord above them.
Pickthal	And the angels will be on the sides thereof, and eight will uphold the Throne of thy Lord that day, above them.

Shakir	And the angels shall be on the sides thereof; and above ) I them eight shall bear on that day your Lord's power.
Sarwar	The angels will be around the heavens and on that day eight of them will carry the Throne of your Lord above all the creatures.
Khalifa	The angels will be all around, and Your Lord's dominion will then encompass eight (universes).
Hilali/Khan	And the angels will be on its sides, and eight angels will, that Day, bear the Throne of your Lord above them.
H/K/Saheeh	And the angels are at its edges. And there will bear the Throne of your Lord above them, that Day, eight [of them].
Malik	The angels will stand all around and eight of them will be carrying the Throne of your Lord above them.[17]
QXP	And the Divine Laws in Nature will rally around and your Lord's Supreme Control will reign over eight Universes that Day. (Instead of the current seven).
Maulana Ali	And the angels will be on its sides. And above them eight will bear that day thy Lord’s Throne of Power.

‏69:18 يومئذ تعرضون لاتخفى منكم خافية

Transliteration	Yawma-ithin tuAAradoona la takhfa minkum khafiyatun
Literal	That day, you are being exhibited/displayed , not a hidden (thing) hides from you.

Yusuf Ali	That Day shall ye be brought to Judgment: not an act of yours that ye hide will be hidden.
Pickthal	On that day ye will be exposed; not a secret of you will be hidden.
Arberry	On that day you shall be exposed, not one secret of yours concealed.
Shakir	On that day you shall be exposed to view-- no secret of yours shall remain hidden.
Sarwar	On that day all your secrets will be exposed.
Khalifa	On that day, you will be exposed, nothing of you can be hidden
Hilali/Khan	That Day shall you be brought to Judgement, not a secret of you will be hidden.

Malik	That shall be the day when you will be brought before your Lord, and none of your secrets shall remain hidden.[18]
QXP	On the Day you will be brought, not a single hidden deed of yours will remain hidden.
Maulana Ali	On that day you will be exposed to view -- no secret of yours will remain hidden.
Free Minds	On that Day, you will be exposed, nothing from you can be hidden.
Qaribullah	On that Day you shall be exposed, and no secret of yours will remain hidden.

George Sale	On that day ye shall be presented before the judgement seat of God; and none of your secret actions shall be hidden.

‏69:19 فاما من اوتي كتابه بيمينه فيقول هاؤم اقرؤوا كتابيه

Transliteration	Faamma man ootiya kitabahu biyameenihi fayaqoolu haomu iqraoo kitabiyah
Literal	So but who was given/brought his book/judgment with his right (hand), so he says: "Take (here take this) read my Book/judgment ."

Yusuf Ali	Then he that will be given his Record in his right hand will say: "Ah here! Read ye my Record!
Pickthal	Then, as for him who is given his record in his right hand, he will say: Take, read my book!
Arberry	Then as for him who is given his book in his right hand, he shall say, 'Here, take and read my book!
Shakir	Then as for him who is given his book in his right hand, he will say: Lo! read my book:

Malik	Then he, who will be given his Book of Deeds in his right hand, will say: "Here it is, read my Book of deeds!"[19]
QXP	Then he who is given his record in his right hand, will say, "Come all of you around! Read this my record.
Maulana Ali	Then as for him who is given his book in his right hand, he will say: Lo! Read my book.

Qaribullah	Then, he who is given his book in his right hand will say: 'Here, take and read my book!

‏69:20 اني ظننت اني ملاق حسابيه

Transliteration	Innee thanantu annee mulaqin hisabiyah
Literal	That I, I thought/assumed that I am receiving/meeting my account/calculation (punishment).

Yusuf Ali	"I did really understand that my Account would (One Day) reach me!"
Pickthal	Surely I knew that I should have to meet my reckoning.
Arberry	Certainly I thought that I should encounter my reckoning.'
Shakir	Surely I knew that I shall meet my account.
Sarwar	I was sure that the record of my deeds would be shown to me".
Khalifa	"I did believe that I was going to be held accountable."
Hilali/Khan	"Surely, I did believe that I shall meet my Account!"
H/K/Saheeh	Indeed, I was certain that I would be meeting my account."
Malik	I knew that I would certainly face my reckoning."[20]

‏69:21 فهو في عيشة راضية

Transliteration	Fahuwa fee AAeeshatin radiyatin
Literal	So he is in (an) acceptable/approved life/quality of life.

Yusuf Ali	And he will be in a life of Bliss,
Pickthal	Then he will be in blissful state
Arberry	So he shall be in a pleasing life
Shakir	So he shall be in a life of pleasure,
Sarwar	They will have a pleasant life
Khalifa	He has deserved a happy life.
Hilali/Khan	So he shall be in a life, well-pleasing.
H/K/Saheeh	So he will be in a pleasant life
Malik	So he will have a life of pleasure,[21]

‏69:24 كلوا واشربوا هنيئا بما اسلفتم في الايام الخالية

Transliteration	Kuloo waishraboo hanee-an bima aslaftum fee al-ayyami alkhaliyati
Literal	Eat and drink pleasurable/wholesome/tasty because (of) what you advanced in the days/times, the past/expired .

Yusuf Ali	"Eat ye and drink ye, with full satisfaction; because of the (good) that ye sent before you, in the days that are gone!"
Pickthal	(And it will be said unto those therein): Eat and drink at ease for that which ye sent on before you in past days.
Arberry	'Eat and drink with wholesome appetite for that you did long ago, in the days gone by.'
Shakir	Eat and drink pleasantly for what you did beforehand in the days gone by.
Sarwar	Such people will be told, "Eat and drink with pleasure as the reward for what you did in the past".
Khalifa	Eat and drink happily in return for your works in days past.
Hilali/Khan	Eat and drink at ease for that which you have sent on before you in days past!
H/K/Saheeh	[They will be told], "Eat and drink in satisfaction for what you put forth in the days past."
Malik	We shall say to him: "Eat and drink to your heart's content; this is a reward for what you did in the days gone by."[24]
QXP	Eat and drink gleefully for what you did in the days past.
Maulana Ali	Eat and drink pleasantly for that which you sent on before in bygone days.
Free Minds	"Eat and drink merrily in return for your works in days past."
Qaribullah	(It will be said): 'Eat and drink with a good appetite because of what you did in days long passed. '

George Sale	Eat and drink with easy digestion; because of the good works which ye sent before you, in the days which are past.
JM Rodwell	Eat ye and drink with healthy relish, as the meed of what ye sent on beforehand in the days which are past.

Asad	[And all who are thus blest will be told:] "Eat and drink with good cheer in return for all [the good deeds] that you have sent ahead in days gone by!"

al-Haqqah 069:025

‏69:25 واما من اوتي كتابه بشماله فيقول ياليتني لم اوت كتابيه

Transliteration	Waamma man ootiya kitabahu bishimalihi fayaqoolu ya laytanee lam oota kitabiyah
Literal	And but who was given/brought his Book/judgment with his left (hand), so he says: "I wish I would have not been given my book/judgment ."

Yusuf Ali	And he that will be given his Record in his left hand, will say: "Ah! Would that my Record had not been given to me!

Maulana Ali	And as for him who is given his book in his left hand -- he will say: O would that my book had not been given to me!

Qaribullah	But, he who is given his book in his left hand will say: 'Woe to me, would that my book had not been given to me!

Shakir	And I had not known what my account was:
Sarwar	and that we would never knew what our records contained.

Arberry	Would it had been the end!
Shakir	O would that it had made an end (of me):

Pickthal	My wealth hath not availed me,
Arberry	My wealth has not availed me,
Shakir	My wealth has availed me nothing:
Sarwar	Our wealth is of no benefit to us
Khalifa	"My money cannot help me.
Hilali/Khan	"My wealth has not availed me,
H/K/Saheeh	My wealth has not availed me.

Literal	My authority/power perished from me.

Yusuf Ali	"My power has perished from me!"...
Pickthal	My power hath gone from me.
Arberry	my authority is gone from me.'
Shakir	My authority is gone away from me.
Sarwar	and our belief has destroyed us".
Khalifa	"All my power is gone."
Hilali/Khan	"My power and arguments (to defend myself) have gone from me!"

Transliteration	Khuthoohu faghulloohu

Yusuf Ali	(The stern command will say): "Seize ye him, and bind ye him,
Pickthal	(It will be said): Take him and fetter him
Arberry	'Take him, and fetter him,
Shakir	Lay hold on him, then put a chain on him,
Sarwar	The angels will be told, "Seize and chain them,
Khalifa	Take him and shackle him.
Hilali/Khan	(It will be said): "Seize him and fetter him,

Malik	We shall say: "Seize him and put a chain around his neck,[30]

‏69:31 ثم الجحيم صلوه

Yusuf Ali	"And burn ye him in the Blazing Fire.
Pickthal	And then expose him to hell-fire
Arberry	and then roast him in Hell,
Shakir	Then cast him into the burning fire,
Sarwar	then throw them into hell to be heated up therein.

Transliteration	Thumma fee silsilatin tharAAuha sabAAoona thiraAAan faoslukoohu
Literal	Then in a chain its measure (length is) seventy arm/ells/cubit , so enter/pass/thread/(tie) him.

Yusuf Ali	"Further, make him march in a chain, whereof the length is seventy cubits!
Pickthal	And then insert him in a chain whereof the length is seventy cubits.
Arberry	then in a chain of seventy cubits' length insert him!
Shakir	Then thrust him into a chain the length of which is seventy cubits.
Sarwar	Fasten a chain to them - seventy cubits long -
Khalifa	In a chain that is seventy arms long, tie him up.

‏69:33 انه كان لايؤمن بالله العظيم

Transliteration	Innahu kana la yu/minu biAllahi alAAatheemi
Literal	That he truly was not believing with (in) God, the great.

Yusuf Ali	"This was he that would not believe in Allah Most High.
Pickthal	Lo! He used not to believe in Allah the Tremendous,
Arberry	Behold, he never believed in God the All-mighty,
Shakir	Surely he did not believe in Allah, the Great,
Sarwar	they did not believe in the great God,
Khalifa	For he did not believe in GOD, Most Great.
Hilali/Khan	Verily, He used not to believe in Allah, the Most Great,
H/K/Saheeh	Indeed, he did not used to believe in Allah, the Most Great,

‏69:34 ولايحض على طعام المسكين

Transliteration	Wala yahuddu AAala taAAami almiskeeni
Literal	And nor urges/insights/influences on feeding the poorest of poor/poor oppressed.

Yusuf Ali	"And would not encourage the feeding of the indigent!
Pickthal	And urged not on the feeding of the wretched.
Arberry	and he never urged the feeding of the needy;
Shakir	Nor did he urge the feeding of the poor.
Sarwar	nor were they concerned with feeding the destitute.
Khalifa	Nor did he advocate the feeding of the poor.
Hilali/Khan	And urged not on the feeding of AlMiskeen (the poor),
H/K/Saheeh	Nor did he encourage the feeding of the poor.
Malik	nor did he care to feed the poor.[34]
QXP	And arranged not to feed the needy.
Maulana Ali	Nor did he urge the feeding of the poor.
Free Minds	Nor did he advocate the feeding of the poor.
Qaribullah	nor did he urge the feeding of the needy.

al-Haqqah 069:035

‏69:35 فليس له اليوم هاهنا حميم

Transliteration	Falaysa lahu alyawma hahuna hameemun
Literal	So here, here (a) concerned (relative/friend) is not for him the day/today.

Yusuf Ali	"So no friend hath he here this Day.
Pickthal	Therefor hath he no lover here this day,
Arberry	therefore he today has not here one loyal friend,
Shakir	Therefore he has not here today a true friend,
Sarwar	On this day, they will have no friends
Khalifa	Consequently, he has no friend here.
Hilali/Khan	So no friend has he here this Day,
H/K/Saheeh	So there is not for him here this Day any devoted friend
Malik	Today he neither has a true friend here,[35]
QXP	And so, he has no friend here today.

‏69:36 ولاطعام الا من غسلين

Transliteration	Wala taAAamun illa min ghisleenin
Literal	And nor food except from ghesleen (could be Hell's occupants' flesh, skin and blood) .

Yusuf Ali	"Nor hath he any food except the corruption from the washing of wounds,
Pickthal	Nor any food save filth
Arberry	neither any food saving foul pus,
Shakir	Nor any food except refuse,
Sarwar	and no food except pus

Transliteration	La ya/kuluhu illa alkhati-oona
Literal	None eat it except the mistaken/erroneous .

Arberry	that none excepting the sinners eat.'
Shakir	Which none but the wrongdoers eat.
Sarwar	which only the sinners eat".
Khalifa	Food for the sinners.
Hilali/Khan	None will eat except the Khatioon (sinners, disbelievers, polytheists, etc.).
H/K/Saheeh	None will eat it except the sinners.
Malik	which none but the wrongdoers eat."[37]
QXP	Which none eat but those who faulted through life.
Maulana Ali	Which none but the wrongdoers eat.

al-Haqqah 069:038

‏69:38 فلا اقسم بما تبصرون

Transliteration	Fala oqsimu bima tubsiroona
Literal	So I do not swear/make oath with what you see .

Yusuf Ali	So I do call to witness what ye see,
Pickthal	But nay! I swear by all that ye see
Arberry	No! I swear by that you see
Shakir	But nay! I swear by that which you see,
Sarwar	I do not need to swear by what you see
Khalifa	I swear by what you see
Hilali/Khan	So I swear by whatsoever you see,
H/K/Saheeh	So I swear by what you see
Malik	Nay! I swear by all that you can see,[38]
QXP	But nay, I call to witness all that you see (that actions have consequences of their like).
Maulana Ali	But nay! I swear by that which you see,

al-Haqqah 069:039

‏69:39 ومالاتبصرون

Transliteration	Wama la tubsiroona
Literal	And what you do not see .

Arberry	and by that you do not see,
Shakir	And that which you do not see.
Sarwar	and what you do not see

al-Haqqah 069:040

‏69:40 انه لقول رسول كريم

Transliteration	Innahu laqawlu rasoolin kareemin
Literal	That it truly is an honoured/noble messenger's word/saying (E) .

Yusuf Ali	That this is verily the word of an honoured messenger;
Pickthal	That it is indeed the speech of an illustrious messenger.
Arberry	it is the speech of a noble Messenger.
Shakir	Most surely, it is the Word brought by an honored Messenger,
Sarwar	because the Quran is certainly the word of a reverent messenger.
Khalifa	This is the utterance of an honorable messenger.
Hilali/Khan	That this is verily the word of an honoured Messenger (i.e. Jibrael (Gabriel) or Muhammad SAW which he has brought from Allah).
H/K/Saheeh	[That] indeed, the Qurâ an is the word of a noble Messenger.
Malik	that this is the word of a noble Messenger.[40]
QXP	Behold, this is indeed the revealed Word in the dialect of a noble Messenger.
Maulana Ali	Surely, it is the word of an honoured Messenger,
Free Minds	This is the utterance of an honourable messenger.
Qaribullah	that this is the speech of a noble Messenger.

George Sale	that this is the discourse of an honourable Apostle,
JM Rodwell	That this verily is the word of an apostle worthy of all honour!

Asad	Behold, this [Quran] is indeed the [inspired] word of a noble apostle,

al-Haqqah 069:041

‏69:41 وماهو بقول شاعر قليلا ماتؤمنون

Transliteration	Wama huwa biqawli shaAAirin qaleelan ma tu/minoona
Literal	And it is not with a poet's word/saying , little (is) what you believe.

Yusuf Ali	It is not the word of a poet: little it is ye believe!
Pickthal	It is not poet's speech - little is it that ye believe!
Arberry	It is not the speech of a poet (little do you believe)
Shakir	And it is not the word of a poet; little is it that you believe;
Sarwar	It is not the word of a poet but only a few of you have faith,
Khalifa	Not the utterance of a poet; rarely do you believe.

al-Haqqah 069:042

‏69:42 ولابقول كاهن قليلا ماتذكرون

Transliteration	Wala biqawli kahinin qaleelan ma tathakkaroona
Literal	And nor with a fortune teller's/altar priests word/saying , little (is) what you mention/remember .

Yusuf Ali	Nor is it the word of a soothsayer: little admonition it is ye receive.
Pickthal	Nor diviner's speech - little is it that ye remember!
Arberry	nor the speech of a soothsayer (little do you remember).
Shakir	Nor the word of a soothsayer; little is it that you mind.
Sarwar	nor is it the work of a soothsayer but only a few of you take heed.
Khalifa	Nor the utterance of a soothsayer; rarely do you take heed.
Hilali/Khan	Nor is it the word of a soothsayer (or a foreteller), little is that you remember!
H/K/Saheeh	Nor the word of a soothsayer; little do you remember.
Malik	- nor is it the word of a soothsayer - little admonition is that you take.[42]
QXP	Nor is it the word of a soothsayer. Little of your intellect do you bring to use.
Maulana Ali	Nor the word of a soothsayer. Little is it that you mind!
Free Minds	Nor the utterance of a soothsayer; rarely do you take heed.
Qaribullah	nor is it the speech of a soothsayer little do you remember.

George Sale	Neither is it the discourse of a soothsayer: How little are ye admonished!
JM Rodwell	Neither is it the word of a soothsayer (Kahin)-how little do ye receive warning!

Asad	and neither is it - however little you may [be prepared to] take it to heart - the word of a soothsayer:

al-Haqqah 069:043

‏69:43 تنزيل من رب العالمين

Transliteration	Tanzeelun min rabbi alAAalameena
Literal	Descent from the creations all together's/(universe's) Lord.

Yusuf Ali	(This is) a Message sent down from the Lord of the Worlds.
Pickthal	It is a revelation from the Lord of the Worlds.
Arberry	A sending down from the Lord of all Being.
Shakir	It is a revelation from the Lord of the worlds.
Sarwar	It is a revelation from the Lord of the Universe.
Khalifa	A revelation from the Lord of the universe.
Hilali/Khan	This is the Revelation sent down from the Lord of the Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists).
H/K/Saheeh	[It is] a revelation from the Lord of the worlds.
Malik	This is a revelation from the Lord of the worlds.[43]
QXP	It is a Revelation from the Lord of the Worlds.
Maulana Ali	It is a revelation from the Lord of the worlds.
Free Minds	A revelation from the Lord of the worlds.
Qaribullah	(It is) a sending down from the Lord of all the Worlds.

George Sale	It is a revelation from the Lord of all creatures.
JM Rodwell	It is a missive from the Lord of the worlds.

Asad	[it is] a revelation from the Sustainer of all the worlds.

al-Haqqah 069:044

‏69:44 ولو تقول علينا بعض الاقاويل

Transliteration	Walaw taqawwala AAalayna baAAda al-aqaweeli
Literal	And if (the messenger) made false statements on Us (on Our behalf) some (of) the sayings/beliefs .

Yusuf Ali	And if the messenger were to invent any sayings in Our name,
Pickthal	And if he had invented false sayings concerning Us,
Arberry	Had he invented against Us any sayings,
Shakir	And if he had fabricated against Us some of the sayings,
Sarwar	Had Muhammad invented some words against Us,.
Khalifa	Had he uttered any other teachings.
Hilali/Khan	And if he (Muhammad SAW) had forged a false saying concerning Us (Allah ),
H/K/Saheeh	And if Muúammad had made up about Us some [false] sayings,
Malik	Had he (Muhammad) invented false statements concerning Us,[44]
QXP	And if he had ascribed his sayings unto Us.
Maulana Ali	And if he had fabricated against Us certain sayings,
Free Minds	And had he attributed anything falsely to Us.
Qaribullah	Had he invented sayings against Us,

George Sale	If Mohammed had forged any part of these discourses concerning Us,
JM Rodwell	But if Muhammad had fabricated concerning us any sayings,

Asad	Now if he [whom We have entrusted with it] had dared to attribute some [of his own] sayings unto Us,

al-Haqqah 069:045

‏69:45 لاخذنا منه باليمين

Transliteration	Laakhathna minhu bialyameeni
Literal	We would have punished/taken from him by the right (hand).

Yusuf Ali	We should certainly seize him by his right hand,
Pickthal	We assuredly had taken him by the right hand
Arberry	We would have seized him by the right hand,
Shakir	We would certainly have seized him by the right hand,
Sarwar	We would have caught hold of him by his right hand
Khalifa	We would have punished him.
Hilali/Khan	We surely should have seized him by his right hand (or with power and might),
H/K/Saheeh	We would have seized him by the right hand;
Malik	We would certainly have seized him by his right hand[45]
QXP	We would have taken him by the right hand.
Maulana Ali	We would certainly have seized him by the right hand,
Free Minds	We would have seized him by the right.
Qaribullah	We would have seized him by the right hand

George Sale	verily We had taken him by the right hand,
JM Rodwell	We had surely seized him by the right hand,

Asad	We would indeed have seized him by his right hand,

al-Haqqah 069:046

‏69:46 ثم لقطعنا منه الوتين

Transliteration	Thumma laqataAAna minhu alwateena
Literal	Then We would have severed/cut off from him the aorta/heart's main artery.

Yusuf Ali	And We should certainly then cut off the artery of his heart:
Pickthal	And then severed his life-artery,
Arberry	then We would surely have cut his life-vein
Shakir	Then We would certainly have cut off his aorta.
Sarwar	and cut-off his main artery.
Khalifa	We would have stopped the revelations to him.
Hilali/Khan	And then certainly should have cut off his life artery (Aorta),
H/K/Saheeh	Then We would have cut from him the aorta.
Malik	then cut off his main artery,[46]
QXP	And would have cut off his Aorta.
Maulana Ali	Then cut off his heart’s vein.
Free Minds	Then, We would have severed his life-line.
Qaribullah	then, We would surely have cut from him the aorta (vein)

George Sale	and had cut in sunder the vein of his heart;
JM Rodwell	And had cut through the vein of his neck.

Asad	and would indeed have cut his life-vein.

al-Haqqah 069:047

‏69:47 فما منكم من احد عنه حاجزين

Transliteration	Fama minkum min ahadin AAanhu hajizeena
Literal	So (there) is not from anyone from you preventing/hindering from (for) him.

Yusuf Ali	Nor could any of you withhold him (from Our wrath).
Pickthal	And not one of you could have held Us off from him.
Arberry	and not one of you could have defended him.
Shakir	And not one of you could have withheld Us from him.
Sarwar	None of you would be able to prevent Us from doing this to him.
Khalifa	None of you could have helped him.
Hilali/Khan	And none of you could withhold Us from (punishing) him.
H/K/Saheeh	And there is no one of you who could prevent [Us] from him.
Malik	and none of you could prevent it![47]
QXP	And none of you could stop Us from doing that.
Maulana Ali	And not one of you could have withheld Us from him.
Free Minds	None of you would be able to prevent it.
Qaribullah	not one of you could have prevented it from him.

George Sale	neither would We have withheld any of you from chastising him.
JM Rodwell	Nor would We have withheld any one of you from him.

Asad	and none of you could have saved him!

al-Haqqah 069:048

‏69:48 وانه لتذكرة للمتقين

Transliteration	Wa-innahu latathkiratun lilmuttaqeena
Literal	And that it truly is a reminder for the fearing and obeying.

Yusuf Ali	But verily this is a Message for the Allah-fearing.
Pickthal	And lo! it is a warrant unto those who ward off (evil).
Arberry	Surely it is a Reminder to the godfearing;
Shakir	And most surely it is a reminder for those who guard (against evil).
Sarwar	The Quran is certainly a reminder for the pious ones.
Khalifa	This is a reminder for the righteous.
Hilali/Khan	And verily, this Quran is a Reminder for the Muttaqoon (pious - see V.2:2).
H/K/Saheeh	And indeed, the Qurâ an is a reminder for the righteous.
Malik	Surely this Qur’an is a reminder to the Godfearing.[48]
QXP	But, verily, it is a Reminder and a giver of eminence to those who wish to walk aright.
Maulana Ali	And surely it is a Reminder for the dutiful.
Free Minds	And this is a reminder for the righteous.
Qaribullah	Indeed, it is a Reminder to those who fear Allah,

George Sale	And verily this book is an admonition unto the pious;
JM Rodwell	But, verily, It (the Koran) is a warning for the God-fearing;

Asad	And, verily, this [Qur'an] is a reminder to all the God-conscious!

al-Haqqah 069:049

‏69:49 وانا لنعلم ان منكم مكذبين

Transliteration	Wa-inna lanaAAlamu anna minkum mukaththibeena
Literal	And We (E), We know (E) that (E) from you (are) liars/deniers/falsifiers.

Yusuf Ali	And We certainly know that there are amongst you those that reject (it).
Pickthal	And lo! We know that some among you will deny (it).
Arberry	but We know that some of you will cry lies.
Shakir	And most surely We know that some of you are rejecters.
Sarwar	We certainly know that some of you have rejected it
Khalifa	We know; some of you are rejectors.
Hilali/Khan	And verily, We know that there are some among you that belie (this Quran). (Tafsir At-Tabaree, Vol. 29, Page 68)
H/K/Saheeh	And indeed, We know that among you are deniers.
Malik	We know that there are some among you who deny it,[49]
QXP	And behold, We know well that among you will be deniers.
Maulana Ali	And We certainly know that some of you are rejectors.
Free Minds	And We know that some of you are deniers.
Qaribullah	We know that there are some among you who will belie.

George Sale	and We well know that there are some of you who charge the same with imposture:
JM Rodwell	And we well know that there are of you who treat it as a falsehood.

Asad	And, behold, well do We know that among you are such as will give the lie to it:

al-Haqqah 069:050

‏69:50 وانه لحسرة على الكافرين

Transliteration	Wa-innahu lahasratun AAala alkafireena
Literal	And that it truly is grief/sadness (E) , on the disbelievers.

Yusuf Ali	But truly (Revelation) is a cause of sorrow for the Unbelievers.
Pickthal	And lo! it is indeed an anguish for the disbelievers.
Arberry	Surely it is a sorrow to the unbelievers;
Shakir	And most surely it is a great grief to the unbelievers.
Sarwar	and (on the Day of Judgment) this will be a great source of regret for the unbelievers.
Khalifa	It is but sorrow for the disbelievers.
Hilali/Khan	And indeed it (this Quran) will be an anguish for the disbelievers (on the Day of Resurrection).
H/K/Saheeh	And indeed, it will be [a cause of] regret upon the disbelievers.
Malik	and for such disbelievers it is indeed a cause of despair.[50]
QXP	And behold, this denial will become a source of regret for the rejecters.
Maulana Ali	And it is indeed a (source of) grief to the disbelievers.
Free Minds	And that it is a distress for the rejecters.
Qaribullah	Indeed, it is a sorrow to the unbelievers

George Sale	But it shall surely be an occasion of grievous sighing unto the infidels;
JM Rodwell	But it shall be the despair of infidels,

Asad	yet, behold, this [rejection] will indeed become a source of bitter regret for all who deny the truth [of God's revelation] -

al-Haqqah 069:051

‏69:51 وانه لحق اليقين

Transliteration	Wa-innahu lahaqqu alyaqeeni
Literal	And that it truly is true/real (E) the assurance/certainty.

Yusuf Ali	But verily it is Truth of assured certainty.
Pickthal	And lo! it is absolute truth.
Arberry	yet indeed it is the truth of certainty.
Shakir	And most surely it is the true certainty
Sarwar	This is the Truth beyond any doubt.
Khalifa	It is the absolute truth.
Hilali/Khan	And Verily, it (this Quran) is an absolute truth with certainty .
H/K/Saheeh	And indeed, it is the truth of certainty.
Malik	Yet surely it is the absolute truth.[51]
QXP	For, verily, it is Truth Absolute.
Maulana Ali	And surely it is the certain Truth.
Free Minds	And it is the absolute truth.
Qaribullah	yet it is a certain truth.

George Sale	for it is the truth of a certianty.
JM Rodwell	For it is the very truth of sure knowledge.

Asad	for, verily, it is truth absolute!

al-Haqqah 069:052

‏69:52 فسبح باسم ربك العظيم

Transliteration	Fasabbih biismi rabbika alAAatheemi
Literal	So praise/glorify with your Lord's name the great.434

Yusuf Ali	So glorify the name of thy Lord Most High.
Pickthal	So glorify the name of thy Tremendous Lord.
Arberry	Then magnify the Name of thy Lord, the All-mighty.
Shakir	Therefore-glorify the name of your Lord, the Great.
Sarwar	(Muhammad), glorify the name of your Lord, the Great One.
Khalifa	Therefore, you shall glorify the name of your Lord, Most Great.
Hilali/Khan	So glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most Great.
H/K/Saheeh	So exalt the name of your Lord, the Most Great. Bismillahir Raúmanir-Raúeem
Malik	So glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High.[52]
QXP	Therefore, work hard to manifest the Glory of your Lord's Tremendous Name.
Maulana Ali	So glorify the name of thy Lord, the Incomparably Great.
Free Minds	Therefore, you shall glorify the name of your Lord, the Great.
Qaribullah	Exalt the Name of your Lord, the Great.

George Sale	Wherefore praise the name of thy Lord, the great God.
JM Rodwell	Praise, then, the name of thy Lord, the Great.

Asad	Extol, then the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's mighty name!
