| Transliteration | Ala inna awliyaa Allahi la khawfun AAalayhim wala hum yahzanoona |
| Literal | Is it not that God's patrons/followers (that there is) no fear/fright on them, and nor they be sad/grieving? |
| Yusuf Ali | Behold! verily on the friends of Allah there is no fear, nor shall they grieve; |
| Pickthal | Lo! verily the friends of Allah are (those) on whom fear (cometh) not, nor do they grieve? |
