| 10:85 فقالوا على الله توكلنا ربنا لاتجعلنا فتنة للقوم الظالمين | |
| Transliteration | Faqaloo AAala Allahi tawakkalna rabbana la tajAAalna fitnatan lilqawmi alththalimeena | 
| Literal | So they said: "On God we relied/depended . Our Lord do not make/put us (as a) test to the nation the unjust/oppressors." | 
| Yusuf Ali | They said: "In Allah do we put out trust. Our Lord! make us not a trial for those who practise oppression; | 
| Pickthal | They said: In Allah we put trust. Our Lord! Oh, make us not a lure for the wrongdoing folk; | 
| Arberry | They said, 'In God we have put our trust. Our Lord, make us not a temptation to the people of the evildoers, | 
| Shakir | So they said: On Allah we rely: O our Lord! make us not subject to the persecution of the unjust people: |
