| 13:34 لهم عذاب في الحياة الدنيا ولعذاب الاخرة اشق ومالهم من الله من واق | |
| Transliteration | Lahum AAathabun fee alhayati alddunya walaAAathabu al-akhirati ashaqqu wama lahum mina Allahi min waqin |
| Literal | For them (is) torture in the life the present/worldly life, and the end's (other life's) torture (E) (is) harder/more difficult , and (there is) none from (a) protector/preserver for them. |
| Yusuf Ali | For them is a penalty in the life of this world, but harder, truly, is the penalty of the Hereafter: and defender have they none against Allah. |
| Pickthal | For them is torment in the life of the world, and verily the doom of the Hereafter is more painful, and they have no defender from Allah. |
| Arberry | For them is chastisement in the present life; and the chastisement of the world to come is yet more grievous; they have none to defend them from God. |
