16:114 فكلوا مما رزقكم الله حلالا طيبا واشكروا نعمة الله ان كنتم اياه تعبدون | |
Transliteration | Fakuloo mimma razaqakumu Allahu halalan tayyiban waoshkuroo niAAmata Allahi in kuntum iyyahu taAAbudoona |
Literal | So eat from what God provided for you permitted/allowed/good/pure and thank/be grateful (for) God's blessing/goodness , if you were (only) Him worshipping. |
Yusuf Ali | So eat of the sustenance which Allah has provided for you, lawful and good; and be grateful for the favours of Allah, if it is He Whom ye serve. |
Pickthal | So eat of the lawful and good food which Allah hath provided for you, and thank the bounty of your Lord if it is Him ye serve. |
Arberry | So eat of what God has provided you lawful and good; and be you thankful for the blessing of God, if it be Him that you serve. |
