| Transliteration | Thumma itha kashafa alddurra AAankum itha fareequn minkum birabbihim yushrikoona |
| Literal | Then if He removed/uncovered/(relieved) the harm from you, then a group/party from you, they share/make partners with their Lord. |
| Yusuf Ali | Yet, when He removes the distress from you, behold! some of you turn to other gods to join with their Lord- |
| Pickthal | And afterward, when He hath rid you of the misfortune, behold! a set of you attribute partners to their Lord, |
| Arberry | Then, when He removes the affliction from you, lo, a party of you assign associates to their Lord, |
