16:85 واذا راى الذين ظلموا العذاب فلايخفف عنهم ولاهم ينظرون | |
Transliteration | Wa-itha raa allatheena thalamoo alAAathaba fala yukhaffafu AAanhum wala hum yuntharoona |
Literal | And if those who caused injustice/oppression saw/understood the torture, so (it) does not be reduced/lightened from them, and nor they be given time/looked at . |
Yusuf Ali | When the wrong-doers (actually) see the Penalty, then will it in no way be mitigated, nor will they then receive respite. |
Pickthal | And when those who did wrong behold the doom, it will not be made light for them, nor will they be reprieved. |
Arberry | And when the evildoers behold the chastisement, it shall not be lightened for them, and no respite shall be given them. |
Shakir | And when those who are unjust shall see the chastisement, it shall not be lightened for them, nor shall they be respited. . |
