| 2:268 الشيطان يعدكم الفقر ويامركم بالفحشاء والله يعدكم مغفرة منه وفضلا والله واسع عليم | |
| Transliteration | Alshshaytanu yaAAidukumu alfaqra waya/murukum bialfahsha-i waAllahu yaAAidukum maghfiratan minhu wafadlan waAllahu wasiAAun AAaleemun |
| Literal | The devil promises you the poverty/grief and orders/commands you with enormous/atrocious deeds , and God promises you forgiveness from Him and grace/favour , and God (is) extended/abundant , knowledgeable. |
