| 22:4 كتب عليه انه من تولاه فانه يضله ويهديه الى عذاب السعير | |
| Transliteration | Kutiba AAalayhi annahu man tawallahu faannahu yudilluhu wayahdeehi ila AAathabi alssaAAeeri |
| Literal | It was written/decreed on him that who followed him (the devil), that he (the devil) misguides him, and he (the devil) guides him to the torture, the blazing/inflamed. |
| Yusuf Ali | About the (Evil One) it is decreed that whoever turns to him for friendship, him will he lead astray, and he will guide him to the Penalty of the Fire. |
