| Transliteration | Wala-in muttum aw qutiltum la-ila Allahi tuhsharoona |
| Literal | And if you died or you were killed, to (E) God you are being gathered. |
| Yusuf Ali | And if ye die, or are slain, Lo! it is unto Allah that ye are brought together. |
| Pickthal | What though ye be slain or die, when unto Allah ye are gathered? |
| Arberry | surely if you die or are slain, it is unto God you shall be mustered. |
