| Transliteration | Hum darajatun AAinda Allahi waAllahu baseerun bima yaAAmaloona |
| Literal | They are degrees/stages at God, and God (is) seeing/knowing with what they make/do/work.44 |
| Yusuf Ali | They are in varying gardens in the sight of Allah, and Allah sees well all that they do. |
| Pickthal | There are degrees (of grace and reprobation) with Allah, and Allah is Seer of what they do. |
