| Transliteration | Faisfah AAanhum waqul salamun fasawfa yaAAlamoona |
| Literal | So turn away/disregard from them, and say: "A greeting/safety/security/peace." So they will know.362 |
| Yusuf Ali | But turn away from them, and say "Peace!" But soon shall they know! |
| Pickthal | Then bear with them (O Muhammad) and say: Peace. But they will come to know. |
| Arberry | yet pardon them, and say, 'Peace!' Soon they will know. |
| Shakir | So turn away from them and say, Peace, for they shall soon come to know. |
