45:35 ذلكم بانكم اتخذتم ايات الله هزوا وغرتكم الحياة الدنيا فاليوم لايخرجون منها ولاهم يستعتبون | |
Transliteration | Thalikum bi-annakumu ittakhathtum ayati Allahi huzuwan wagharratkumu alhayatu alddunya faalyawma la yukhrajoona minha wala hum yustaAAtaboona |
Literal | That (is) with that you, you took/received God's verses/evidences mockingly/making fun, and the life the present/worldly life has deceived/tempted you. So the day/today they are not brought/driven out from it, and nor they be allowed to offer reconciliation . |
Yusuf Ali | "This, because ye used to take the Signs of Allah in jest, and the life of the world deceived you:" (From) that Day, therefore, they shall not be taken out thence, nor shall they be received into Grace. |
Pickthal | This, forasmuch as ye made the revelations of Allah a jest, and the life of the world beguiled you. Therefor this day they come not forth from thence, nor can they make amends. |
Arberry | That is for that you took God's signs in mockery, and the present life deluded you.' So today they shall not be brought forth from it, nor will they be suffered to make amends. |

So this Day, they shall not be taken out from there (Hell), nor shall they be Yustataboon (i.e. they shall not return to the worldly life, so that they repent to Allah, and beg His Pardon for their sins). |
H/K/Saheeh | That is because you took the verses of Allah in ridicule, and worldly life deluded you." So that Day they will not be removed from it, nor will they be asked to appease [Allah]. |
Malik | This is because you used to take Allah’s revelations as a joke and you let the worldly life deceive you." Therefore, on this Day neither shall they be taken out of hell, nor shall they be given a chance for amending their ways to please their Lord.[35] |
