| 72:6 وانه كان رجال من الانس يعوذون برجال من الجن فزادوهم رهقا | |
| Transliteration | Waannahu kana rijalun mina al-insi yaAAoothoona birijalin mina aljinni fazadoohum rahaqan |
| Literal | 'And that it was men from the human/mankind they seek protection with men from the Jinns , so they increased them oppression/sin/foolishness .' |
| Yusuf Ali | 'True, there were persons among mankind who took shelter with persons among the Jinns, but they increased them in folly. |
| Pickthal | And indeed (O Muhammad) individuals of humankind used to invoke the protection of individuals of the jinn, so that they increased them in revolt against Allah); |
