| 8:69 فكلوا مما غنمتم حلالا طيبا واتقوا الله ان الله غفور رحيم | |
| Transliteration | Fakuloo mimma ghanimtum halalan tayyiban waittaqoo Allaha inna Allaha ghafoorun raheemun |
| Literal | So eat from what you won/gained by spoils of war (it is) permitted/allowed enjoyable/allowed/permitted, and fear and obey God, that God (is) forgiving merciful. |
| Yusuf Ali | But (now) enjoy what ye took in war, lawful and good: but fear Allah: for Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful. |
