| 10:100 وماكان لنفس ان تؤمن الا باذن الله ويجعل الرجس على الذين لايعقلون | |
| Transliteration | Wama kana linafsin an tu/mina illa bi-ithni Allahi wayajAAalu alrrijsa AAala allatheena la yaAAqiloona |
| Literal | And (it) was not to a self that she/it believes except with God's permission, and He makes/puts the142obscenity/filth on those who do not reason/understand/comprehend. |
| Yusuf Ali | No soul can believe, except by the will of Allah, and He will place doubt (or obscurity) on those who will not understand. |
