| Transliteration | Waqul lillatheena la yu/minoona iAAmaloo AAala makanatikum inna AAamiloona |
| Literal | And say to those who do not believe: "Make/do/work on your capacity/place/position, We are making/doing working." |
| Yusuf Ali | Say to those who do not believe: "Do what ever ye can: We shall do our part; |
| Pickthal | And say unto those who believe not: Act according to your power. Lo! We (too) are acting. |
| Arberry | And say to the unbelievers: 'Act you according to your station; we are acting. |
