| 11:44 وقيل ياارض ابلعي ماءك وياسماء اقلعي وغيض الماء وقضي الامر واستوت على الجودي وقيل بعدا للقوم الظالمين | |
| Transliteration | Waqeela ya ardu iblaAAee maaki waya samao aqliAAee wagheeda almao waqudiya al-amru waistawat AAala aljoodiyyi waqeela buAAdan lilqawmi alththalimeena |
| Literal | And (it) was said: "You earth/Planet Earth/land swallow your water, and you sky/space cease/stop/clear up ."And the water reduced/receded , and the matter/affair/order/command was accomplished/carried out, and it straightened/leveled on the Joody , and was said: "Curse to the nation the unjust/oppressive." |
| Yusuf Ali | Then the word went forth: "O earth! swallow up thy water, and O sky! Withhold (thy rain)!" and the water abated, and the matter was ended. The Ark rested on Mount Judi, and the word went forth: "Away with those who do wrong!" |
