| 11:43 قال ساوي الى جبل يعصمني من الماء قال لاعاصم اليوم من امر الله الا من رحم وحال بينهما الموج فكان من المغرقين | |
| Transliteration | Qala saawee ila jabalin yaAAsimunee mina alma-i qala la AAasima alyawma min amri Allahi illa man rahima wahala baynahuma almawju fakana mina almughraqeena |
| Literal | He said: "I will take shelter/refuge to a mountain (that) protects/shelters me from the water." He said: "(There is) no protector/shelterer today, from God's order/command except who He had mercy upon." And148the waves/surges came in between/intervened between them (B), so he was from drowned/sunken. |
| Yusuf Ali | The son replied: "I will betake myself to some mountain: it will save me from the water." Noah said: "This day nothing can save, from the command of Allah, any but those on whom He hath mercy! "And the waves came between them, and the son was among those overwhelmed in the Flood. |
