19:42 اذ قال لابيه ياابت لم تعبد مالايسمع ولايبصر ولايغني عنك شيئا | |
Transliteration | Ith qala li-abeehi ya abati lima taAAbudu ma la yasmaAAu wala yubsiru wala yughnee AAanka shay-an |
Literal | When he said to his father: "You my father, for what (do) you worship what does not hear/listen, and nor see/understand , and nor enrich/suffice from you a thing?" |
Yusuf Ali | Behold, he said to his father: "O my father! why worship that which heareth not and seeth not, and can profit thee nothing? |
Pickthal | When he said unto his father: O my father! Why worshippest thou that which heareth not nor seeth, nor can in aught avail thee? |
