2:168 ياايها الناس كلوا مما في الارض حلالا طيبا ولاتتبعوا خطوات الشيطان انه لكم عدو مبين | |
Transliteration | Ya ayyuha alnnasu kuloo mimma fee al-ardi halalan tayyiban wala tattabiAAoo khutuwati alshshaytani innahu lakum AAaduwwun mubeenun |
Literal | You, you the people, eat from what (is) in the Earth/land permitted/allowed good/enjoyable , and do not follow the devil's foot-steps, that he (is) for you an evident enemy. |
Yusuf Ali | O ye people! Eat of what is on earth, Lawful and good; and do not follow the footsteps of the evil one, for he is to you an avowed enemy. |
