| 2:8 ومن الناس من يقول امنا بالله وباليوم الاخر وماهم بمؤمنين | |
| Transliteration | Wamina alnnasi man yaqoolu amanna biAllahi wabialyawmi al-akhiri wama hum bimu/mineena |
| Literal | And from the people who say: "We believed by God and with the Day the Last/ Resurrection Day." And they are not with believing. |
| Yusuf Ali | Of the people there are some who say: "We believe in Allah and the Last Day;" but they do not (really) believe. |
