| 29:23 والذين كفروا بايات الله ولقائه اولئك يئسوا من رحمتي واولئك لهم عذاب اليم | |
| Transliteration | Waallatheena kafaroo bi-ayati Allahi waliqa-ihi ola-ika ya-isoo min rahmatee waola-ika lahum AAathabun aleemun |
| Literal | And those who disbelieved with God's verses/evidences/signs, and meeting Him, those, they despaired/became hopeless from My mercy, and those for them (is) a painful torture. |
| Yusuf Ali | Those who reject the Signs of Allah and the Meeting with Him (in the Hereafter),- it is they who shall despair of My Mercy: it is they who will (suffer) a most grievous Penalty. |
| Pickthal | Those who disbelieve in the revelations of Allah and in (their) Meeting with Him, such have no hope of My mercy. For such there is a painful doom. |
