29:2 احسب الناس ان يتركوا ان يقولوا امنا وهم لايفتنون |

Transliteration | Ahasiba alnnasu an yutrakoo an yaqooloo amanna wahum la yuftanoona |
Literal | Did the people think/suppose that they be left that they say: "We believed." And they are not being tested . |

Yusuf Ali | Do men think that they will be left alone on saying, "We believe", and that they will not be tested? |
Pickthal | Do men imagine that they will be left (at ease) because they say, We believe, and will not be tested with affliction? |
Arberry | Do the people reckon that they will be left to say 'We believe,' and will not be tried? |
Shakir | Do men think that they will be left alone on saying, We believe, and not be tried? |

29:3 ولقد فتنا الذين من قبلهم فليعلمن الله الذين صدقوا وليعلمن الكاذبين |

Transliteration | Walaqad fatanna allatheena min qablihim falayaAAlamanna Allahu allatheena sadaqoo walayaAAlamanna alkathibeena |
Literal | And We had tested those who (were) from before them, so God knows (E) those who were truthful, and He knows (E) the liars/deniers/falsifiers. |

Yusuf Ali | We did test those before them, and Allah will certainly know those who are true from those who are false. |
Pickthal | Lo! We tested those who were before you. Thus Allah knoweth those who are sincere, and knoweth those who feign. |
Arberry | We certainly tried those that were before them, and assuredly God knows those who speak truly, and assuredly He knows the liars. |
Shakir | And certainly We tried those before them, so Allah will certainly know those who are true and He will certainly know the liars. |
Sarwar | We had certainly tried those who lived before them to make sure who were truthful in their faith and who were liars. |

Malik | We did test those who have gone before them. Allah has to see (for the purpose of reward and punishment) who are the truthful and who are the liars.[3] |
QXP | Yes, indeed, We did test those who lived before them. And so, most certainly, Allah will distinguish between those who are truthful from those who are liars. |
Maulana Ali | And indeed We tried those before them, so Allah will certainly know those who are true and He will know the liars. |

29:4 ام حسب الذين يعملون السيئات ان يسبقونا ساء مايحكمون |

Transliteration | Am hasiba allatheena yaAAmaloona alssayyi-ati an yasbiqoona saa ma yahkumoona |
Literal | Or those who make/do the sins/crimes thought/supposed that they precede/surpass Us , it became bad/evil/harmful what they judge/rule. |

Yusuf Ali | Do those who practise evil think that they will get the better of Us? Evil is their judgment! |
Pickthal | Or do those who do ill-deeds imagine that they can outstrip Us? Evil (for them) is that which they decide. |
Arberry | Or do they reckon, those who do evil deeds, that they will outstrip Us? Ill they judge! |

29:5 من كان يرجو لقاء الله فان اجل الله لات وهو السميع العليم |

Transliteration | Man kana yarjoo liqaa Allahi fa-inna ajala Allahi laatin wahuwa alssameeAAu alAAaleemu |
Literal | Who was/is hoping/expecting God's meeting, so that God's term/time is coming (E), and He is the hearing/listening, the knowledgeable. |

Yusuf Ali | For those whose hopes are in the meeting with Allah (in the Hereafter, let them strive); for the term (appointed) by Allah is surely coming and He hears and knows (all things). |
Pickthal | Whoso looketh forward to the meeting with Allah (let him know that) Allah's reckoning is surely nigh, and He is the Hearer, the Knower. |
Arberry | Whoso looks to encounter God, God's term is coming; He is the All-hearing, the All-knowing. |

H/K/Saheeh | Whoever should hope for the meeting with Allah indeed, the term decreed by Allah is coming. And He is the Hearing, the Knowing. |
Malik | He that hopes to meet Allah must know that Allah’s appointed time is sure to come and He hears all and knows all.[5] |

29:6 ومن جاهد فانما يجاهد لنفسه ان الله لغني عن العالمين |

Transliteration | Waman jahada fa-innama yujahidu linafsihi inna Allaha laghaniyyun AAani alAAalameena |
Literal | And who struggled/exerted , so but he struggles/exerts for his self, that God (is) rich (E) from (not in need to) the creations all together/(universes) |

Yusuf Ali | And if any strive (with might and main), they do so for their own souls: for Allah is free of all needs from all creation. |
Pickthal | And whosoever striveth, striveth only for himself, for lo! Allah is altogether Independent of (His) creatures. |
Arberry | Whosoever struggles, struggles only to his own gain; surely God is All-sufficient nor needs any being. |
Shakir | And whoever strives hard, he strives only for his own soul; most surely Allah is Self-sufficient, above (need of) the worlds. |
Sarwar | Whoever strives hard should know that it is for his own good. God is independent of the whole world. |
Khalifa | Those who strive, strive for their own good. GOD is in no need of anyone. |

H/K/Saheeh | And whoever strives only strives for [the benefit of] himself. Indeed, Allah is free from need of the worlds. |
Malik | He that strives, does that for his own soul; for Allah is certainly transcendent and beyond any need of the worlds.[6] |
QXP | Hence, whoever strives (in the Cause of Allah), strives for the good of his own "Self". Allah is altogether Independent of His creation. |
Maulana Ali | And whoever strives hard, strives for himself. Surely Allah is Self-sufficient, above (need of) (His) creatures. |
Free Minds | And whosoever strives then he is only striving for himself; for God is in no need of the worlds. |
Qaribullah | He who strives, strives for himself. Allah is the Rich, independent of the worlds. |

George Sale | Whoever striveth to promote the true religion, striveth for the advantage of his own soul; for God needeth not any of his creatures: |
JM Rodwell | Whoso maketh efforts for the faith, maketh them for his own good only. Verily God is rich enough to dispense with all creatures. |

al-`Ankabut 029:007
29:7 والذين امنوا وعملوا الصالحات لنكفرن عنهم سيئاتهم ولنجزينهم احسن الذي كانوا يعملون |

Transliteration | Waallatheena amanoo waAAamiloo alssalihati lanukaffiranna AAanhum sayyi-atihim walanajziyannahum ahsana allathee kanoo yaAAmaloona |
Literal | And those who believed and made/did the correct/righteous deeds We will cover/substitute from their sins/crimes (E), and We will reimburse them (E) best (of) what they were making/doing . |

Yusuf Ali | Those who believe and work righteous deeds,- from them shall We blot out all evil (that may be) in them, and We shall reward them according to the best of their deeds. |
Pickthal | And as for those who believe and do good works, We shall remit from them their evil deeds and shall repay them the best that they did. |
Arberry | And those who believe, and do righteous deeds, We shall surely acquit them of their evil deeds, and shall recompense them the best of what they were doing. |
Shakir | And (as for) those who believe and do good, We will most certainly do away with their evil deeds and We will most certainly reward them the best of what they did. |

Hilali/Khan | Those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah (Monotheism) and in Messenger Muhammad SAW , and do not apostate because of the harm they receive from the polytheists), and do righteous good deeds, surely, We shall remit from them their evil deeds and shall reward them according to the best of that which they used to do. |
H/K/Saheeh | And those who believe and do righteous deeds We will surely remove from them their misdeeds and will surely reward them according to the best of what they used to do. |
Malik | As for those who believe and do good deeds, We shall cleanse them of their sins and We shall reward them according to the best of their deeds.[7] |
QXP | As for those who come to believe and help others, We shall blot out their previous misdeeds, and We shall certainly reward them generously for what they do. |
Maulana Ali | And those who believe and do good, We shall certainly do away with their afflictions and reward them for the best of what they did. |

al-`Ankabut 029:008
29:8 ووصينا الانسان بوالديه حسنا وان جاهداك لتشرك بي ماليس لك به علم فلا تطعهما الي مرجعكم فانبئكم بما كنتم تعملون |

Transliteration | Wawassayna al-insana biwalidayhi husnan wa-in jahadaka litushrika bee ma laysa laka bihi AAilmun fala tutiAAhuma ilayya marjiAAukum faonabbi-okum bima kuntum taAAmaloona |
Literal | And We directed/recommended the human (with) a goodness/beauty with (to) his parents, and if they (B) did their utmost against you to share/make partners with Me, for what is not for you knowledge with it, so do not obey them (B), to Me (is) your return, so I inform you with what you were making/doing. |

Yusuf Ali | We have enjoined on man kindness to parents: but if they (either of them) strive (to force) thee to join with Me (in worship) anything of which thou hast no knowledge, obey them not. Ye have (all) to return to me, and I will tell you (the truth) of all that ye did. |
Pickthal | We have enjoined on man kindness to parents; but if they strive to make thee join with Me that of which thou hast no knowledge, then obey them not. Unto Me is your return and I shall tell you what ye used to do. |

Sarwar | We have advised the human being, "Be kind to your parents. Do not obey them if they force you to consider equal to Me things which you do not know are such." You will all return (to Me) and I shall show all that you have done. |
Khalifa | We enjoined the human being to honor his parents. But if they try to force you to set up idols beside Me, do not obey them. To Me is your ultimate return, then I will inform you of everything you had done. |
Hilali/Khan | And We have enjoined on man to be good and dutiful to his parents, but if they strive to make you join with Me (in worship) anything (as a partner) of which you have no knowledge, then obey them not. Unto Me is your return, and I shall tell you what you used to do. |
H/K/Saheeh | And We have enjoined upon man goodness to parents. But if they endeavor to make you associate with Me that of which you have no knowledge, do not obey them. To Me is your return, and I will inform you about what you used to do. |
Malik | We have enjoined man to show kindness to his parents; but if they (your parents) force you to commit shirk with Me, of which you have no knowledge, do not obey them. To Me is your return and I will inform you of what you have done.[8] |
QXP | (As among the best deeds) We have enjoined upon the human being kindness to parents. But, if they strive to make you ascribe divinity side by side with Me, this will conflict with your knowledge. Then, obey them not, for it is unto Me that all of you must return, whereupon I shall truly make you understand what you used to do. (31:14-15). |
Maulana Ali | And We have enjoined on man goodness to his parents. But if they contend with thee to associate (others) with Me, of which thou has no knowledge, obey them not. To Me is your return, so I will inform you of what you did. |

According to Razi, this phrase may also allude to concepts not evolved through personal knowledge but, rather, acquired through a blind, uncritical acceptance of other people's views (taqlid).] [for] it is unto Me that you all must return, whereupon I shall make you [truly] understand [the right and wrong of] all that you were doing [in life]. |
al-`Ankabut 029:009
29:9 والذين امنوا وعملوا الصالحات لندخلنهم في الصالحين |

Transliteration | Waallatheena amanoo waAAamiloo alssalihati lanudkhilannahum fee alssaliheena |
Literal | And those who believed, and made/did the correct/righteous deeds, We will enter them (E) in (with) the correct/righteous. |
|
|
Yusuf Ali | And those who believe and work righteous deeds,- them shall We admit to the company of the Righteous. |
Pickthal | And as for those who believe and do good works, We verily shall make them enter in among the righteous. |
Arberry | And those who believe, and do righteous deeds assuredly We shall admit them among the righteous. |
Shakir | And (as for) those who believe and do good, We will most surely cause them to enter among the good. |
Sarwar | We shall admit the righteously striving believers into the company of the pious ones. |
Khalifa | Those who believe and lead a righteous life, we will certainly admit them with the righteous. |
Hilali/Khan | And for those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah and other items of Faith) and do righteous good deeds, surely, We shall make them enter in (the enterance of) the righteous (i.e. in Paradise). |
H/K/Saheeh | And those who believe and do righteous deeds We will surely admit them among the righteous [into Paradise]. |
Malik | Those who have accepted the true faith and do good deeds shall be admitted among the righteous.[9] |
QXP | Those who accept the Divine Revelation and help create balance in the community, We will include them among those who have fulfilled their personalities. |
Maulana Ali | And those who believe and do good, We shall surely make them enter among the righteous. |
Free Minds | And those who believed and did good works, We will admit them with the righteous. |
Qaribullah | Those who believe and do good works shall be admitted among the righteous. |

George Sale | Those who shall believe, and shall work righteousness, We will surely introduce into paradise, among the upright. |

al-`Ankabut 029:010
29:10 ومن الناس من يقول امنا بالله فاذا اوذي في الله جعل فتنة الناس كعذاب الله ولئن جاء نصر من ربك ليقولن انا كنا معكم اوليس الله باعلم بما في صدور العالمين |

Transliteration | Wamina alnnasi man yaqoolu amanna biAllahi fa-itha oothiya fee Allahi jaAAala fitnata alnnasi kaAAathabi Allahi wala-in jaa nasrun min rabbika layaqoolunna inna kunna maAAakum awa laysa Allahu bi-aAAlama bima fee sudoori alAAalameena |
Literal | And from the people who says: "We believed by God." So if he was harmed mildly in God, he made/put the people's test/torture as/like God's torture, and if victory/aid came from your Lord, they will say (E): "That we were with you." Or is not God with more knowledgeable with what (is in) the creation's all together's/(universes) chests (innermosts). |

Yusuf Ali | Then there are among men such as say, "We believe in Allah"; but when they suffer affliction in (the cause of) Allah, they treat men's oppression as if it were the Wrath of Allah! And if help comes (to thee) from thy Lord, they are sure to say, "We have (always) been with you!" Does not Allah know best all that is in the hearts of all creation? |
Pickthal | Of mankind is he who saith: We believe in Allah, but, if he be made to suffer for the sake of Allah, he mistaketh the persecution of mankind for Allah's punishment; and then, if victory cometh from thy Lord, will say: Lo! we were with you (all the while). Is not Allah Best Aware of what is in the bosoms of (His) creatures? |
Arberry | Some men there are who say, 'We believe in God,' but when such a man is hurt in God's cause, he makes the persecution of men as it were God's chastisement; then if help comes from thy Lord, he will say 'We were with you.' What, does not God know very well what is in the breasts of all beings? |
Shakir | And among men is he who says: We believe in Allah; but when he is persecuted in (the way of) Allah he thinks the persecution of men to be as the chastisement of Allah; and if there come assistance from your Lord, they would most certainly say: Surely we were with you. What! is not Allah the best knower of what is in the breasts of mankind. |
Sarwar | Some people say, "We have faith in God." But when they face some hardship for His cause, they begin to consider the persecution that they have experienced from people as a torment from God. When your Lord grants you a victory, they say, "We were with you." Does God not know best what is in the hearts of every creature?. |
Khalifa | Among the people there are those who say, "We believe in GOD," but as soon as they suffer any hardship because of GOD, they equate the people's persecution with GOD's retribution. But if blessings from your Lord come your way, they say, "We were with you." Is GOD not fully aware of the people's innermost thoughts? |
Hilali/Khan | Of mankind are some who say: "We believe in Allah," but if they are made to suffer for the sake of Allah, they consider the trial of mankind as Allahs punishment, and if victory comes from your Lord, (the hypocrites) will say: "Verily! We were with you (helping you)." Is not Allah Best Aware of what is in the breast of the Alameen (mankind and jinns). |
H/K/Saheeh | And of the people are some who say, We believe in Allah, but when one [of them] is harmed for [the cause of] Allah, they consider the trial of the people as [if it were] the punishment of Allah. But if victory comes from your Lord, they say, Indeed, We were with you. Is not Allah most knowing of what is within the breasts of all creatures? |
Malik | There are some among people, who say: "We believe in Allah;" yet when they suffer in the cause of Allah they confuse the persecution of people with the punishment of Allah. But when there comes help in the shape of a victory from your Lord, they are sure to say: "We have always been with you." Is not Allah fully aware of what is in the hearts of the people of the world.[10] |
QXP | Now of mankind there are such who say, "We do believe in Allah." But when they are made to suffer in Allah's Cause, they think that persecution at the hands of people is Allah's punishment. And if help comes from your Lord, they say, "Behold, we were with you all the while." Is not Allah best Aware of what is in the hearts of all creatures? |
Maulana Ali | And among men is he who says: We believe in Allah; but when he is persecuted for the sake of Allah, he thinks the persecution of men to be as the chastisement of Allah. And if there comes help from thy Lord, they will say: Surely we were with you. Is not Allah the Best Knower of what is in the hearts of mankind? |
Free Minds | And from among the people are those who Say: "We believe in God," but if he is harmed in the sake of God, he equates the persecution inflicted by the people with God's punishment! Idiomatically, the term is derived from the noun nafaq, which denotes an underground passage" having an outlet different from the entry, and signifying, specifically, the complicated burrow of a field-mouse, a lizard, etc., from which the animal can easily escape or in which it can outwit a pursuer. Tropically, the term munafiq describes a person who is "two-faced", inasmuch as he always tries to find an easy way out of any real commitment, be it spiritual or social, by adapting his course of action to what promises to be of practical advantage to him in the situation in which he happens to find himself. Since a person thus characterized usually pretends to be morally better than he really is, the epithet munafiq may roughly be rendered as "hypocrite". It should, however, be noted that whereas this Western term invariably implies conscious dissembling with the intent to deceive others, the Arabic term munafiq may also be applied - and occasionally is applied in the Quran - to a person who, being weak or uncertain in his beliefs or moral convictions, merely deceives himself. 29:12 وقال الذين كفروا للذين امنوا اتبعوا سبيلنا ولنحمل خطاياكم وماهم بحاملين من خطاياهم من شئ انهم لكاذبون |

Literal | And We had sent Noah to his nation, so he stayed/waited/remained in (between) them one thousand year(s) except fifty year(s), so the deadly/great flood punished them , and (while) they are unjust/oppressive. |

[Lit., you create a lie".] Behold, those [things and beings] that you worship instead of God have it not in their power to provide sustenance for you: seek, then, all [your] sustenance from God, and worship Him [alone] and be grateful to Him: [for] unto Him you shall be brought back! |

29:18 وان تكذبوا فقد كذب امم من قبلكم وماعلى الرسول الا البلاغ المبين |

Transliteration | Wa-in tukaththiboo faqad kaththaba omamun min qablikum wama AAala alrrasooli illa albalaghu almubeenu |
Literal | And if you lie/deny/falsify, so nations from before you had lied/denied/falsified, and nothing (is) on the messenger except the information/communication, the clear/evident . |

29:24 فما كان جواب قومه الا ان قالوا اقتلوه او حرقوه فانجاه الله من النار ان في ذلك لايات لقوم يؤمنون |

Transliteration | Fama kana jawaba qawmihi illa an qaloo oqtuloohu aw harriqoohu faanjahu Allahu mina alnnari inna fee thalika laayatin liqawmin yu/minoona |
Literal | So his nation's answer/reply was not except that they said: "Kill him, or burn him." so God saved/rescued him from the fire, that in that (are) evidences/signs/verses (E), to a nation believing. |

Yusuf Ali | So naught was the answer of (Abraham's) people except that they said: "Slay him or burn him." But Allah did save him from the Fire. Verily in this are Signs for people who believe. |

Hilali/Khan | So nothing was the answer of (Ibraheems (Abraham)) people except that they said: "Kill him or burn him." Then Allah saved him from the fire. Verily, in this are indeed signs for a people who believe. |
H/K/Saheeh | And the answer of Abrahamâ s people was not but that they said, Kill him or burn him, but Allah saved him from the fire. Indeed in that are signs for a people who believe. |
Malik | The people of Abraham had no answer except to say: "Kill him!" Or "Burn him!" But Allah saved him from the fire when they tried to burn him. Surely in this incident there are signs for those who believe.[24] |
QXP | (Abraham explained these facts to his people) but their only answer was, "Kill him or burn him alive!" But Allah saved him from their fiery rage. Behold, in this story there are signs for believers (such as, when people have no sensible answers, they resort to threats and violence (21:68), (37:96-97)) |

29:25 وقال انما اتخذتم من دون الله اوثانا مودة بينكم في الحياة الدنيا ثم يوم القيامة يكفر بعضكم ببعض ويلعن بعضكم بعضا ومأواكم النار ومالكم من ناصرين |

Transliteration | Waqala innama ittakhathtum min dooni Allahi awthanan mawaddata baynikum fee alhayati alddunya thumma yawma alqiyamati yakfuru baAAdukum bibaAAdin wayalAAanu baAAdukum baAAdan wama-wakumu alnnaru wama lakum min nasireena |
Literal | And he said: "But/truly you took/received from other than God idols/idolized statues, love/affection/friendship between you in the life the present/worldly life, then (on) the Resurrection Day some of you disbelieves with some, and some of you curses/humiliates some, and your shelter/refuge (is) the fire, and (there are) none from victoriors/saviors for you." |

Khalifa | He said, "You worship beside GOD powerless idols due to peer pressure, just to preserve some friendship among you in this worldly life. But then, on the Day of Resurrection, you will disown one another, and curse one another. Your destiny is Hell, wherein you cannot help one another." |
Hilali/Khan | And (Ibrahim (Abraham)) said: "You have taken (for worship) idols instead of Allah, and the love between you is only in the life of this world, but on the Day of Resurrection, you shall disown each other, and curse each other, and your abode will be the Fire, and you shall have no helper." |
H/K/Saheeh | And [Abraham] said, You have only taken, other than Allah, idols as [a bond of] affection among you in worldly life. Then on the Day of Resurrection you will deny one another and curse one another, and your refuge will be the Fire, and you will not have any helpers. |
Malik | After coming out from the fire safely, Abraham addressed them: "Today you have made idols, instead of Allah, a means of affection among yourselves, but remember, on the Day of Resurrection you shall disown and curse one another. Fire shall be your abode and you shall have no helper."[25] |
QXP | And Abraham said, "You have chosen idols (and their priests) instead of Allah, out of regard for your social bonds, good enough only in this worldly life. But then, on the Resurrection Day you shall reject one another and curse one another. And the Fire will be your destination, and there shall be no helpers for you. |

29:27 ووهبنا له اسحاق ويعقوب وجعلنا في ذريته النبوة والكتاب واتيناه اجره في الدنيا وانه في الاخرة لمن الصالحين |

Transliteration | Wawahabna lahu ishaqa wayaAAqooba wajaAAalna fee thurriyyatihi alnnubuwwata waalkitaba waataynahu ajrahu fee alddunya wa-innahu fee al-akhirati lamina alssaliheena |
Literal | And We granted to him (Abraham) Isaac and Jacob, and We made/put in their descendants the prophethood and The Book , and We gave/brought him his reward/wage/fee in the present world, and that he truly is in the end (other life) from (E) the correct/righteous. |

Hilali/Khan | And when Our Messengers came to Lout (Lot), he was grieved because of them, and felt straitened on their account. They said: "Have no fear, and do not grieve! Truly, we shall save you and your family, except your wife, she will be of those who remain behind (i.e. she will be destroyed along with those who will be destroyed from her folk). |

29:39 وقارون وفرعون وهامان ولقد جاءهم موسى بالبينات فاستكبروا في الارض وماكانوا سابقين |

QXP | And thus it is! We have bestowed this Book upon you (O Prophet). And many of those whom We gave the previous Scriptures will come to believe in it. (5:48). Also, many of your people will believe in it. And none could knowingly reject Our Messages except such as would deny an obvious Truth. |
Maulana Ali | And thus have We revealed the Book to thee. So those whom We have given the Book believe in it, and of these there are those who believe in it; and none deny Our messages except the disbelievers. |

29:48 وماكنت تتلو من قبله من كتاب ولاتخطه بيمينك اذا لارتاب المبطلون |

Transliteration | Wama kunta tatloo min qablihi min kitabin wala takhuttuhu biyameenika ithan lairtaba almubtiloona |
Literal | And We were not reading/reciting from before it from a Book , and nor you write it with your right (hand), then the wasters/falsifiers would have doubted/become suspicious. |

29:49 بل هو ايات بينات في صدور الذين اوتوا العلم ومايجحد باياتنا الا الظالمون |

Transliteration | Bal huwa ayatun bayyinatun fee sudoori allatheena ootoo alAAilma wama yajhadu bi-ayatina illa alththalimoona |
Literal | But it is verses/evidences evidences in those who were given/brought the knowledge's chests (innermosts), and none disbelieves and denies with Our verses/evidences except the unjust/oppressive. |

Literal | Say: "Enough/sufficient by God between me and between you (as) a witness/testifier , He knows what (is) in the skies/space and the earth/Planet Earth, and those who believed by (in) the falsehood, and disbelieved by (in) God, those, they are the losers." |

Literal | And they hasten/urge you with the torture, and where it not for a named/identified (specified) term/time, the torture would have come to them, and it will come to them (E) suddenly/unexpectedly, and (while) they do not feel/sense/know. |

Yusuf Ali | They ask thee to hasten on the Punishment (for them): had it not been for a term (of respite) appointed, the Punishment would certainly have come to them: and it will certainly reach them,- of a sudden, while they perceive not! |

QXP | Now they challenge you to hasten the requital. And indeed, if the term had not been set for it, that requital would have come upon them. (The Law of Respite applies to all people). Certainly, it will come upon them all of a sudden, while they perceive not. |

Literal | And if (E) you asked/questioned them: "Who created the skies/space and the earth/Planet Earth, and subjugated for you the sun and the moon?" They will say (E): "God ." So where/how (would) they be turned away ? |

Literal | God spreads/extends the provision to whom He wills/wants from His worshippers/slaves , and He is capable/over powering to/for it, that truly God (is) with every thing knowledgeable. |

Transliteration | Wama hathihi alhayatu alddunya illa lahwun walaAAibun wa-inna alddara al-akhirata lahiya alhayawanu law kanoo yaAAlamoona |
Literal | And this the life the present/worldly life is not except a play thing/amusement/diversion and playing/enjoyment , and that the end's (other life's) home/house (E) it is (E) the life if they were knowing. |

Literal | So if they rode/embarked in the ship/ships, they called God faithful/loyal/devoted to him (in) the religion, so when He saved/rescued them to the shore/land, then they share/make partners (with Him). |

Literal | To disbelieve with what We gave/brought them, and to live long/enjoy, so they will/shall know. |

29:67 اولم يروا انا جعلنا حرما امنا ويتخطف الناس من حولهم افبالباطل يؤمنون وبنعمة الله يكفرون |

Transliteration | Awa lam yaraw anna jaAAalna haraman aminan wayutakhattafu alnnasu min hawlihim afabialbatili yu/minoona wabiniAAmati Allahi yakfuroona |
Literal | Do they not see/understand that We made/put (a) respected/sacred safe/secure, and the people (are) being snatched from around/surrounding them, is it with the falsehood they believe and with God's blessing/goodness they disbelieve? |

Yusuf Ali | Do they not then see that We have made a sanctuary secure, and that men are being snatched away from all around them? Then, do they believe in that which is vain, and reject the Grace of Allah? |

QXP | Have they not seen that We have set up a Sacred Sanctuary that We made a source of peace and security for people - while - all around them people are being carried away by fear and insecurity? Will they still believe in falsehood, and thus deny Allah's Blessing? (The Divine System frees people from fear and insecurity). |

29:68 ومن اظلم ممن افترى على الله كذبا او كذب بالحق لما جاءه اليس في جهنم مثوى للكافرين |

Transliteration | Waman athlamu mimmani iftara AAala Allahi kathiban aw kaththaba bialhaqqi lamma jaahu alaysa fee jahannama mathwan lilkafireena |
Literal | And who (is) more unjust/oppressive than who fabricated/cut and split on (about) God lies/falsehood or lied/denied/falsified with the truth when (it) came to him, is not in Hell a home/dwelling to the disbelievers? |

Yusuf Ali | And who does more wrong than he who invents a lie against Allah or rejects the Truth when it reaches him? Is there not a home in Hell for those who reject Faith? |

Transliteration | Waallatheena jahadoo feena lanahdiyannahum subulana wa-inna Allaha lamaAAa almuhsineena |
Literal | And those who struggled/exerted in Us (for Our sake), We guide them (E) Our ways/paths/methods ,and that truly God (is) with the good doers.286 |

Yusuf Ali | And those who strive in Our (cause),- We will certainly guide them to our Paths: For verily Allah is with those who do right. |
Pickthal | As for those who strive in Us, We surely guide them to Our paths, and lo! Allah is with the good. |
Arberry | But those who struggle in Our cause, surely We shall guide them in Our ways; and God is with the good-doers. |

QXP | As for those who sincerely strive for Us, We surely guide them onto paths that lead to Us. (New channels keep opening for them leading them out of the spider's web onto the Straight Path). Indeed, Allah is with the benefactors of Humanity. |
