| 39:27 ولقد ضربنا للناس في هذا القران من كل مثل لعلهم يتذكرون | |
| Transliteration | Walaqad darabna lilnnasi fee hatha alqur-ani min kulli mathalin laAAallahum yatathakkaroona |
| Literal | And We had given to the people in this the Koran from every/each example/proverb, maybe/perhaps they mention/remember . |
| Yusuf Ali | We have put forth for men, in this Qur'an every kind of Parable, in order that they may receive admonition. |
| Pickthal | And verily We have coined for mankind in this Qur'an all kinds of similitudes, that haply they may reflect; |
| Arberry | Indeed We have struck for the people in this Koran every manner of similitude; haply they will remember; |
| Shakir | And certainly We have set forth to men in this Quran similitudes of every sort that they may mind. |
