| 45:31 واما الذين كفروا افلم تكن اياتي تتلى عليكم فاستكبرتم وكنتم قوما مجرمين | |
| Transliteration | Waamma allatheena kafaroo afalam takun ayatee tutla AAalaykum faistakbartum wakuntum qawman mujrimeena |
| Literal | And but those who disbelieved (were told): "Were not My evidences/verses being read/recited on (to) you, so you became arrogant, and you were a nation (of) criminals/sinners?"367 |
| Yusuf Ali | But as to those who rejected Allah, (to them will be said): "Were not Our Signs rehearsed to you? But ye were arrogant, and were a people given to sin! |
| Pickthal | And as for those who disbelieved (it will be said unto them): Were not Our revelations recited unto you? But ye were scornful and became a guilty folk. |
