| 47:22 فهل عسيتم ان توليتم ان تفسدوا في الارض وتقطعوا ارحامكم | |
| Transliteration | Fahal AAasaytum in tawallaytum an tufsidoo fee al-ardi watuqattiAAoo arhamakum |
| Literal | So did you maybe/perhaps (hope) if you turned away that (E) you corrupt/disorder in the earth/Planet Earth and cut off/sever your relations/wombs/uteruses? (Did you expect to get away with it? ) |
| Yusuf Ali | Then, is it to be expected of you, if ye were put in authority, that ye will do mischief in the land, and break your ties of kith and kin? |
