48:22 ولو قاتلكم الذين كفروا لولوا الادبار ثم لايجدون وليا ولانصيرا | |
Transliteration | Walaw qatalakumu allatheena kafaroo lawallawoo al-adbara thumma la yajidoona waliyyan wala naseeran |
Literal | And if those who disbelieved fought you , they would have turned away (on) the backs/ends, then they do no find a guardian/ally , and nor a victorior/savior . |
Yusuf Ali | If the Unbelievers should fight you, they would certainly turn their backs; then would they find neither protector nor helper. |
Pickthal | And if those who disbelieve join battle with you they will take to flight, and afterward they will find no protecting friend nor helper. |
Arberry | If the unbelievers had fought you, they would have turned their backs, and then found neither protector nor helper; |
