| Transliteration | Waqawma noohin min qablu innahum kanoo qawman fasiqeena |
| Literal | And Noah's nation from before, that they truly were a nation (of) debauchers . |
| Yusuf Ali | So were the People of Noah before them for they wickedly transgressed. |
