| 6:130 يامعشر الجن والانس الم ياتكم رسل منكم يقصون عليكم اياتي وينذرونكم لقاء يومكم هذا قالوا شهدنا على انفسنا وغرتهم الحياة الدنيا وشهدوا على انفسهم انهم كانوا كافرين | |
| Transliteration | Ya maAAshara aljinni waal-insi alam ya/tikum rusulun minkum yaqussoona AAalaykum ayatee wayunthiroonakum liqaa yawmikum hatha qaloo shahidna AAala anfusina wagharrat-humu alhayatu alddunya washahidoo AAala anfusihim annahum kanoo kafireena |
| Literal | You the Jinn's and the human's race , did not messengers from you come to you, they relay/inform on you My verses/evidences and warn you (of) this your day's/time's meeting (your meeting at this day/time)? They said: "We witnessed/testified on our selves." And the life the present/worldly life had deceived/tempted them, and they witnessed/testified on themselves that they were disbelieving. |
| Yusuf Ali | "O ye assembly of Jinns and men! came there not unto you messengers from amongst you, setting forth unto you My signs, and warning you of the meeting of this Day of yours?" They will say: "We bear witness against ourselves." It was the life of this world that deceived them. So against themselves will they bear witness that they rejected Faith. |
