| 61:8 يريدون ليطفؤوا نور الله بافواههم والله متم نوره ولو كره الكافرون | |
| Transliteration | Yureedoona liyutfi-oo noora Allahi bi-afwahihim waAllahu mutimmu noorihi walaw kariha alkafiroona |
| Literal | They want/intend to extinguish/put out God's light with their mouths, and God (is) completing His light, and even if the disbelievers hated (it). |
| Yusuf Ali | Their intention is to extinguish Allah's Light (by blowing) with their mouths: But Allah will complete (the revelation of) His Light, even though the Unbelievers may detest (it). |
