67:9 قالوا بلى قد جاءنا نذير فكذبنا وقلنا مانزل الله من شئ ان انتم الا في ضلال كبير | |
Transliteration | Qaloo bala qad jaana natheerun fakaththabna waqulna ma nazzala Allahu min shay-in in antum illa fee dalalin kabeerin |
Literal | They said: "Yes/certainly, a warner/giver of notice had come to us, so we lied/denied/falsified, and we said: 'God did not descend from a thing, that truly you are except in big/great misguidance.'" |
Yusuf Ali | They will say: "Yes indeed; a Warner did come to us, but we rejected him and said, 'Allah never sent down any (Message): ye are nothing but an egregious delusion!'" |
Pickthal | They say: Yea, verily, a warner came unto us; but we denied and said: Allah hath naught revealed; ye are in naught but a great error. |
