| Transliteration | Man yahdi Allahu fahuwa almuhtadee waman yudlil faola-ika humu alkhasiroona |
| Literal | Who God guides, so he is the guided, and who He misguides, so those (are) the losing/misguiding and perishing. |
| Yusuf Ali | Whom Allah doth guide,- he is on the right path: whom He rejects from His guidance,- such are the persons who perish. |
| Pickthal | He whom Allah leadeth, he indeed is led aright, while he whom Allah sendeth astray - they indeed are losers. |
