| Transliteration | Wama tashaoona illa an yashaa Allahu rabbu alAAalameena |
| Literal | And you do not want/will/intend except that (E) (if) God wants/wills/intends, the creations all together's/(universe's) Lord. |
| Yusuf Ali | But ye shall not will except as Allah wills,- the Cherisher of the Worlds. |
