81:1 سورة التكوير بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم ٛــــ اذا الشمس كورت |

81:23 ولقد راه بالافق المبين |

Transliteration | Walaqad raahu bialofuqi almubeeni |
Literal | And he/He had seen/understood him/Him at the horizon/direction, the clear/evident . |

Yusuf Ali | And without doubt he saw him in the clear horizon. |
Pickthal | Surely he beheld Him on the clear horizon. |
Arberry | he truly saw him on the clear horizon; |
Shakir | And of a truth he saw himself on the clear horizon. |
Sarwar | He certainly saw him (Gabriel) high up on the horizon in his original form |
Khalifa | He saw him at the high horizon. |
Hilali/Khan | And indeed he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) saw him (Jibrael (Gabriel)) in the clear horizon (towards the east). |
H/K/Saheeh | And he has already seen Gabriel in the clear horizon. |
Malik | he (Muhammad) indeed saw him (Gabriel) in the clear horizon[23] |
QXP | And, indeed, he has found Wisdom at its highest horizon. (53:1-7). |

81:24 وماهو على الغيب بضنين |

Literal | And he is not on the unseen/supernatural (future) with withholding/clinging . |

Yusuf Ali | Neither doth he withhold grudgingly a knowledge of the Unseen. |
Pickthal | And he is not avid of the Unseen. |
Arberry | he is not niggardly of the Unseen. |
Shakir | Nor of the unseen is he a tenacious concealer. |
Sarwar | He (Muhammad) is not accused of lying about the unseen. |
Khalifa | He is not holding back any news. |
Hilali/Khan | And he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) withholds not a knowledge of the unseen. |
H/K/Saheeh | And Muúammad is not a withholder of [knowledge of] the unseen. |
Malik | and he is not stingy to withhold the knowledge of the unseen.[24] |
QXP | And he withholds not in secret the least bit of the Revelation. |
Maulana Ali | Nor is he niggardly of the unseen. |
Free Minds | And he has no knowledge of the future. |
Qaribullah | he is not grudging of the Unseen. |

Asad | and he is not one to begrudge others the knowledge [of whatever has been revealed to him] out of that which is beyond the reach of human Perception. |
at-Takwir 081:025
81:25 وماهو بقول شيطان رجيم |

Transliteration | Wama huwa biqawli shaytanin rajeemin |
Literal | And it is not with a cursed/expelled devil's saying/statement . |

Yusuf Ali | Nor is it the word of an evil spirit accursed. |
Pickthal | Nor is this the utterance of a devil worthy to be stoned. |
Arberry | And it is not the word of an accursed Satan; |
Shakir | Nor is it the word of the cursed Shaitan, |
Sarwar | The Quran is not the word of condemned satan. |
Khalifa | It is not the talk of a rejected devil. |
Hilali/Khan | And it (the Quran) is not the word of the outcast Shaitan (Satan). |
H/K/Saheeh | And the Qurâ an is not the word of a devil, expelled [from the heavens]. |
Malik | This (Qur’an) is not the word of an accursed Satan.[25] |
QXP | Nor is it the utterance of a rejected satanic force. (Such as desire). |
Maulana Ali | Nor is it the word of an accursed devil -- |
Free Minds | And it is not the saying of an outcast devil. |
Qaribullah | Nor is this the word of a stoned satan. |

81:27 ان هو الا ذكر للعالمين |

Transliteration | In huwa illa thikrun lilAAalameena |
Literal | That truly it is except a reminder to the creations all together/(universes). |

Yusuf Ali | Verily this is no less than a Message to (all) the Worlds: |
Pickthal | This is naught else than a reminder unto creation, |
Arberry | It is naught but a Reminder unto all beings, |
Shakir | It is naught but a reminder for the nations, |
Sarwar | This is certainly the guidance for all (jinn and mankind). |
Khalifa | This is a message for all the people. |
Hilali/Khan | Verily, this (the Quran) is no less than a Reminder to (all) the Alameen (mankind and jinns) . |
H/K/Saheeh | It is not except a reminder to the worlds |
Malik | This is but a Message to all the people of the world,[27] |
QXP | This Message is no less than a Reminder and giver of eminence to all mankind. |
Maulana Ali | It is naught but a Reminder for the nations, |
Free Minds | It is but a reminder for the worlds. |
Qaribullah | This is nothing but a Reminder to the worlds, |

81:28 لمن شاء منكم ان يستقيم |

Transliteration | Liman shaa minkum an yastaqeema |
Literal | To who willed/wanted from you that (E) to be straight/direct. |

Yusuf Ali | (With profit) to whoever among you wills to go straight: |
Pickthal | Unto whomsoever of you willeth to walk straight. |
Arberry | for whosoever of you who would go straight; |
Shakir | For him among you who pleases to go straight. |
Sarwar | So let those who want, choose the right guidance |
Khalifa | For those who wish to go straight. |
Hilali/Khan | To whomsoever among you who wills to walk straight, |
H/K/Saheeh | For whoever wills among you to take a right course. |
Malik | to each one who wishes to follow the Right Way.[28] |
QXP | Unto everyone of you who wills to walk aright. (1:5). |
Maulana Ali | For him among you who will go straight. |
Free Minds | For whomever of you wishes to be straight. |
Qaribullah | for whosoever of you would go straight, |

at-Takwir 081:029
81:29 وماتشاؤون الا ان يشاء الله رب العالمين |

Transliteration | Wama tashaoona illa an yashaa Allahu rabbu alAAalameena |
Literal | And you do not want/will/intend except that (E) (if) God wants/wills/intends, the creations all together's/(universe's) Lord. |

|
Yusuf Ali | But ye shall not will except as Allah wills,- the Cherisher of the Worlds. |
Pickthal | And ye will not, unless (it be) that Allah willeth, the Lord of Creation. |
Arberry | but will you shall not, unless God wills, the Lord of all Being. |
Shakir | And you do not please except that Allah please, the Lord of the worlds. |
Sarwar | However, you will not be able to choose anything unless God, Lord of the Universe wills it to be so. |
Khalifa | Whatever you will is in accordance with the will of GOD, Lord of the universe. |
Hilali/Khan | And you will not, unless (it be) that Allah wills, the Lord of the Alameen (mankind, jinns and all that exists). |
H/K/Saheeh | And you do not will except that Allah wills Lord of the worlds. |
Malik | Yet your wishes are of no avail unless Allah, the Lord of the worlds, pleases so.[29] |
QXP | But you cannot will it unless you abide by the Laws of the Lord of the Worlds. (4:88). |
Maulana Ali | And you will not, except Allah please, the Lord of the worlds. |
Free Minds | And you cannot will anything except if God also wills, the Lord of the worlds. |
Qaribullah | but you shall not, unless Allah wills, the Lord of all the Worlds. |
