Transliteration | Walaqad naAAlamu annaka yadeequ sadruka bima yaqooloona |
Literal | And We had know (known) that you, your chest (innermost) narrows/tightens becuase (of) what they say. |
Yusuf Ali | We do indeed know how thy heart is distressed at what they say. |
Pickthal | Well know We that thy bosom is oppressed by what they say, |
Arberry | We know indeed thy breast is straitened by the things they say. |
Shakir | And surely We know that your breast straitens at what they say; |
