| Transliteration | Walaqad atayna moosa alkitaba laAAallahum yahtadoona |
| Literal | And We had given/brought to Moses The Book , maybe/perhaps they be guided. |
| Yusuf Ali | And We gave Moses the Book, in order that they might receive guidance. |
