26:139 فكذبوه فاهلكناهم ان في ذلك لاية وماكان اكثرهم مؤمنين | |
Transliteration | Fakaththaboohu faahlaknahum inna fee thalika laayatan wama kana aktharuhum mu/mineena |
Literal | So they denied him , so We made them die/destroyed them, that truly in that (is) an evidence/sign (E), and most of them were not believing. |
Yusuf Ali | So they rejected him, and We destroyed them. Verily in this is a Sign: but most of them do not believe. |
Pickthal | And they denied him; therefor We destroyed them. Lo! herein is indeed a portent, yet most of them are not believers. |
Arberry | So they cried him lies; then We destroyed them. Surely in that is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. |
