| Transliteration | Ma aghna AAanhum ma kanoo yumattaAAoona |
| Literal | What they were being made to enjoy did not enrich/suffice (benefit) from them. |
| Yusuf Ali | It will profit them not that they enjoyed (this life)! |
| Pickthal | (How) that wherewith they were contented naught availeth them? |
