| Transliteration | Watarakna AAalayhima fee al-akhireena |
| Literal | And We left on them (B) in the others/lasts . |
| Yusuf Ali | And We left (this blessing) for them among generations (to come) in later times: |
| Pickthal | And We left for them among the later folk (the salutation): |
| Arberry | and left for them among the later folk |
| Shakir | And We perpetuated (praise) to them among the later generations. |
| Sarwar | and perpetuated their praise in later generations. |
| Khalifa | We preserved their history for subsequent generations. |
| Hilali/Khan | And We left for them (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times; |
| H/K/Saheeh | And We left for them [favorable mention] among later generations: |
| Malik | We left their good names among the later generations.[119] |
| QXP | And We left for them remembrance among the later generations. |
